In memory of Rosie, the Lionheart

We rescued Rosie through BadRap (//www.badrap.org) back in early December of 2001. We guessed she was about 2 years old. She was used as a puppy machine, until found roaming streets of Napa and ended up at the shelter there. Thanks to one of BadRap volunteers (Deanna), she was pulled out of there, and my husband Kourosh and I decided to foster her.... The rest is 'history'.

She was full of heart, and inspired me to help other animals.

She was so patient with me as I helped so many Vafa Shelter Dogs -- smelling like different dog every time I came home... (//www.cal.ir)

She was my partner while I became a child advocate (//www.cadvocates.org)
(she was the icebreaker).

Khaleh Binazir was one of Rosie's favorite aunties... even though they only met once they bonded right away.

Binazir jan, thank you for putting together such lovely clip in memory of our Rosie.

I love it and I'm sure my friends/family will also enjoy seeing it. No more tears .. Rosie has probably started her next job and showing her unconditional love to another being as we speak.

For the love of dog...

by Anonymous Observer on

truely man's best friend.  Unconditional, innocent love that is unparalleled.  I've always had dogs.  One recently passed from old age It took me a while to get over it, but he lived a good life.  I got a new puppy a couple of months ago.  What a joy, even though I have had to put up with the housebreaking, etc.  It's labor of love, really.
