I love you guys. Even if I have to come here anonymously and say it, I'll say it. I totally love you. It is true that you all looked much cuter when you were young -- though pretty ridiculous in your paacheh-goshad pants and tight, unbuttoned shirts and you probably sat in front of the mirror with a brush for unmanly lengths of time -- but you're still adorable. Certain

Certain songs definitely bring me back to being a child in Iran in the 70's.  For my dad it was Veegen.  For my mom it was Delkesh, Mahasti and Hayedeh.  For me it was ABBA, Roberta Flack and Gogoosh.  With a hairbrush in front of the mirror I'd sing my heart out.  For some reason I knew all the words to that annoying song gol e sangam.   Aassabeh hamaro khoord meekardam.  God I thought I had a good voice.

I was 13 or 14 when I became in love with HER and I gave her Tom Jones record and of course I bought one for myself. Thanks for bringing back all those memories by the way,I am still in love with her.Yes those were the days my friend.

 مرسی واسه این کار جالب. چقدر بعضی از خاطرات خوش یا ناخوش  با یک موزیک میبرتمون به همان لحظه ای که اون حس در اون لحظه حکاکی و تبدیل به یه خاطره شده. وقتی که این موزیک اومد تو بازار من سریع خریدمش و همون غروبش با دوست پسرم قرار داشتم . یک واکمن ،من و دوست پسرم  توی تلفن عمومی به این اهنگ گوش میکردیم.  رابطمون بیشتراز ٧ ماه طول نکشید. و به خاطر اینکه خیلی قهر قهرو بود و اشتی بعد از قهر رو دوست داشت. ازش واسه همیشه جدا  شدم. یه دوهفته ای بود که از جدا یمون میگذشت، که بعد از کارهای روزانه وقتی رفتم خونه یه پیغام  رو انسرینگ ماشین بود. اقا مست و پاتیل این شعر رو با خواننده همراهی میکرد رو برام رو پیام گیر گذاشته بود. خیلی این کارش گیوت بود! ولی کار ساز نشد. یادش بخیر!  شب خوش!

Thanks for Albano I was very young when this move Javanan e zir e Aftab came to Iran I saw it at least 10 times and I had an album full of Albano and Romina Power pictures. I have several CDs of them now. I was absolutely crazy about Albano. I was sadden when I found out that they lost their daughter in New Orleans through kidnapping. They never found her.

حضرتی............مدینه گفتی و کردی کبابم !

نمک رو زخمی پاشیدی که خیلی هامون سعی میکنیم روش باز نشه و هوا نخوره چون .......(با عرض معذرت از حضور بزرگ تر ها) زخم ناسوریه!!

کاملاً حق با توئه که...........

نسل چهارده تا بیست و یکی دو سالهء معاصر من (سنهء هزار و دویست و احمد شاه) دو جور موسیقی براش موجود بود

یا قمر، ملوک ضرابی، خوانساری، بنان، پروین، مرضیه، دلکش، الهه.........که مناسبتی با نیاز...........چه جوری بگم.........سنّی ما نداشت !

 یا جوون تر ها بودن که میباید حتماً تا بیخ دندون سیاسی باشن تا به حساب بیان!

این وسط موسیقی غربی هم بود که از اونجایی که ما همه مون مادرزادی هم انگلیسی میدونستیم هم فرانسه وهم  ایتالیایی و اسپانیولی! می نشستیم تو خلوت خودمون و با آهنگ های غربی چشم هامون نمدار میشد، سری به افسوس تکون میدادیم و آه میکشیدیم!............. و افسوس میخوردیم که .............چرا پدر و مادر های ما احساس نهفته تو این آهنگ رو  «نمی فهمن»

این زندگی لامصّب کاشکی مثل کامپیوتر  یه دکمهء «refresh or undo » داشت!
