I am an IRI agent, groupee, apologist, Sundees-khor, basijjee supporting NIAC in my freetime. Now that this is established, can we talk about the issues?
It is refreshing to wake up in the mornings and hear birdsongs again instead of the frogs' "Abu-Ata" singing of the past 8 years.
Condy Rice has almost shut up. Rush Limbaugh is no more relevant. Carl Rove is too busy arranging for a presidential pardon for himself and friends. Rumsfeldt engari dood shode rafte hava. Michael Ledeen probabely hurt his "mataht" asking for "faster please" so many times. Ashcroft can no longer do his fearmongering. Richard Pearl, Paul wolfowitz, etc etc have all almost shut up. It's actually only Bush and Bolton that can be heard now. Bush is almost funny to hear, and Bolton is just a poor imitation of Ledeen, only replacing "faster please" with "harder please" with the same pornosadistic fervour. But these are tolarable -- there will always be some frogs occuring naturally.
What lacks now is silence of Iranian frogs but that will come too. We always lag a bit behind the rest of the world. Iranian NeoCons will share the same fate as that of their American bretheren, and we'll all have some relative peace even if alas it is for a short time.

You're the idiot for calling Americans idiots
by I Have a Crush on Alex Trebek on Thu Dec 11, 2008 06:37 AM PSTIf Americans are indeed such idiots and awful, why are people literally dying to come here? We have problems, like Iran, but we're still a great country. The people here made a mistake in electing Bush. That's part of democracy. MISTAKES. But look at the margin Obama won by. Stop dissing Americans. I can never tolerate people who do that. The world depends on America in a lot of ways. Stop hating on America! There are a lot of good things happening here, not to mention the opportunities.... thank you very much. How dare you say that? Two elections make a country stupid? That is exactly the problem I have with Iran. You can't call Iranians stupid because of the mess they are in either. There are lots of factors and you are being a jerk by oversimplifying it and calling us "idiots". As for the crooks? Are you joking? Europe wrote the book on crooked politics and economics.
A little clarification is due
by MeyBokhor_Manbarbesuzan on Thu Dec 11, 2008 12:56 AM PSTWhat I meant was not that things will absolutely get better for Iran or the Middle East, but that at least we won't hear these political whores that often. They will not have a monopoly over the airwaves and other media -- even if it is temporary.
Pushing water upstream demands a lot of energy and the end result is the exhaustion of the pusher (See the economic situation of the US) and accomulation of a lot of potential energy in the water. Once the river starts flowing downwards, it destroys everything on its path, good or bad (See global economy).
But it was these frogs singing Abu Ata that was the salt on injury. That we can do without.

Dear Meybokhor,
by Jaleho on Wed Dec 10, 2008 10:38 AM PSTMy fear is that you won't be resting too long before Iranian frogs would start singing abu-atta! Why am I worried? and this relates also to your #3 re. changing bulb joke, the fact that it is true that Clinton's foreign policy towards Iran was in fact worse than that of Bush.
Excuse my disturbing your relative clam and meygosari by reminding you to read Martin Indyk's article, his bringing out his ugly head on Iranian.com already:
//iranian.com/main/2008/time-diplomatic-r...
Here was one of my comments in there, reflecting my unease with the precursor of neo-cons:
Dear Ostaad, worry is for the future of Iran!by Jaleho on Sun Dec 07, 2008 06:12 AM PST
I tried to explain this in detail in my blog:
//iranian.com/main/blog/jaleho/will-obama...
Please read that to see in what sense Mr. Indyk might have considered his "dual containment" needing some changes. The
neo-conservative idea of using pre-emptive force to change the regime
in Iraq was in a sense part of Mr. Indyk announced idea since 1994. It
was part of his version of Dual Containment.
He does not come up with any now-regretted form of policy. He
is merely advising Obama to focus attention to Iran, now that his Iraqi
part of the equation is taken out for Israel's sake, and Iran remains
the unbalanced power threatening Israeli hegemony.
My point is that, now that Hillary has come to foreign policy power,
Indyk is trying to do the same monkey buisness that he did when bunch
of "Clintonites" ruled, and started the dirty foreign policy against
Iran-Iraq.
Under Bush, despite some verbal wrath like "axis of evil" that you're referring to, the REAL wrath was towards Iraq. The real biting sanctions against Iran and its isolation, all started with Clinton, and with direct hand of Martin Indyk. And he was an element throwing stones in US-Iran dialogue in the past.
In my comment here, I specifically gave you an example of how he
tried to BUY and tap Iraqi opposition to advance his idea of
overthrowing Saddam, and nominated Adnan Pachachi to lead the
opposition.
I am suggesting that he's here to start work early and check out
some Iranian easily selling whores, the likes of Pachachi, Chalabi, or
Allawi!

Also, global warming will not equal "phony science"
by I Have a Crush on Alex Trebek on Wed Dec 10, 2008 09:16 AM PSTAs someone who loves science and science geek stuff, I'm glad science will be restored to gain a degree of respect. Bush appointment people to these science posts who had degrees in government. God damn it!! "phony science?" who says that? Only a Bush appointee to the EPA.
GREAT blog.
Wonderful!

A little joke about Bush & Co
by Meybokhor Manbarbesuzan (unlogged) (not verified) on Wed Dec 10, 2008 05:38 AM PSTHow the Bush Administration Changes a Light Bulb
How many members of the Bush administration does it take to change a light bulb?
1. One to deny that a light bulb needs to be changed;
2. One to attack the patriotism of anyone who says the light bulb needs to be changed;
3. One to blame Clinton for burning out the light bulb;
4. One to arrange the invasion of a country rumored to have a secret stockpile of light bulbs;
5. One to give a billion dollar no-bid contract to Halliburton for the new light bulb;
6. One to arrange a photograph of Bush, dressed as a janitor, standing on a step ladder under the banner: Light Bulb Change Accomplished;
7. One administration insider to resign and write a book documenting in detail how Bush was literally in the dark;
8. One to viciously smear #7;
9. One surrogate to campaign on TV and at rallies on how George Bush has had a strong light-bulb-changing policy all along;
10. And finally one to confuse Americans about the difference between screwing a light bulb and screwing the country.
