funny indeed
by mahmoudg on Sun Jan 16, 2011 10:05 AM PSTVery true and beautifully done. Weird as this may sound and as vehemently as i disagree with Sargord's political, social and religious views, I also do think his account should not have been blocked. Freedom of espression is, and I go on the limb will completely say the opposite of what Janati said, "more important than oxygen." If we block anyone it is tantamount to what Shariatmadari and his cohorts are doing in Iran.
OH:
by G. Rahmanian on Sat Jan 15, 2011 04:28 PM PSTI agree with you 100% as long as he does not try to be very cute! I even recommend having more SP clones(I mean clowns), here on IC!
Thanks Omid
by maziar 58 on Sat Jan 15, 2011 12:33 PM PSThow about changin the air lines motto to : Transport shams ol emareh parvaz ham mikond. emam khomeini!! Maziar
About my avatar
by Omid Hast on Sat Jan 15, 2011 01:36 PM PSTI changed my avatar to a drawing of Sargord Pirouz for a couple of days in protest against his account being blocked, and while I was at it I made some out-of-character comments. I don't approve of Sargord's political views but I don't think he should have been blocked. There are people here who have done worse than him, whose accounts have not been blocked yet.
I am back to being me again, I think.
Thanks for the nice cartoon Omid jaan
by divaneh on Sat Jan 15, 2011 08:55 AM PSTI suggest the following slogan for the Iran Air:
"We all have to die one day"
Funny!
by G. Rahmanian on Sat Jan 15, 2011 02:53 AM PSTAnd I like your new avatar better!
Why couldn't you laugh out loud, Azarin?
by Omid Hast on Sat Jan 15, 2011 02:06 AM PSTWere you in the library again?
Omid, may be not
by Anahid Hojjati on Sat Jan 15, 2011 02:04 AM PSTOne of your cartoons had 6 comments and the other one had 4, at least as much as I remember. The other one is the one that has 6 comments now about Oxygen and deen, and this one now has 5 including yours. I don't remember any comment from sargord but then, maybe I missed it.
Did Sargord Pirouz have a comment here?
by Omid Hast on Sat Jan 15, 2011 01:59 AM PSTAnd, what happened to it?
Good one Omid,
by Monda on Fri Jan 14, 2011 09:17 PM PSTeven though this SP character does not deserve all the attention he receives here.
Very funny Omid, thanks.
by Anahid Hojjati on Fri Jan 14, 2011 09:10 PM PSTI like this. It is in line with how people in Iran are reacting to the latest tragedy regarding crash of IranAir air liner. While some people in diaspora are making bunch of noise about sanction without knowing reasons for all these crashes, people in Iran have figured out that main reason for all these crashes is incompetence of officials. I was doing some reasearch to do a blog on this latest crash. The comments that people in Iran left on an article regarding crash were indicative of how they see it, comments such as
جعبه سیاه = نخود سیاه
and saying that soon, this incident will be forgotten and no one will be
going through
استیضاح
Thanks Omid.
but...
by hamsade ghadimi on Fri Jan 14, 2011 08:52 PM PSTwe can't trust someone who "cut and run" from iran 50 years ago.
nice one omid. :)
[laughing out loud - silently -- in my head]
by Azarin Sadegh on Fri Jan 14, 2011 07:38 PM PSTExcellent work, OH jan! Too bad I can't laugh out loud right now...
