Omid, please insert a footnote on the fairness of the trials

I remember that horrible Keyhan headline, which was posted again here on IC not too long ago.  I remember saying how barbaric to have show trials that last a day or less, without witnesses, juries, defence attorneys.  Basically, as the cliche goes; one judge/jury/executioner trials.

Even more barbaric was the fact that the executions were performed immediately after the sentences were handed down (no appeals).

Iranians need to show that this time around, things will be different, and Iran is a country where the rule of law prevails.

Once convicted and the appeals are exhausted, I would not mind seeing their hide swinging from the trees on Pahlavi (now?) avenue.

Other than that one omission - good job

No more rope

or firing squads. Prison cells with walls covered with the pictures of their victims will be their best punishment.

I'm all for life in prison and hard labor,making

2 canals 31' in width (amount of years they sucked Iranian bloods)and 1000 meters apart and eslah talaban on one side and the others on next one connecting the canals from persian gulf to caspian sea and the project should begin from jamkaran.

Omid, my heart supports your message, but my head does not

I suspect some will see street justice and people's anger will rip them into pieces and it'll never get to court. There will be some that will have to be executed because of the depth of their evil but only after a fair and valid trial establishing their guilt beyond reasonable doubt.

I agree with Hamsade on life without parole or visit. For exposing every worthwhile dark piece of history they were involved or have first hand knowledge, they get one 10 minute visit and by their religious belief rules as they had imposed on people. No females, no conjugal visits and no porno magazines or anything with picture of a female on it.
