They have many faces
by farokh2000 on Thu Jul 16, 2009 01:10 PM PDTThese criminal Mullahs have so many faces, you never know who they really represent.
They came to power with CIA's help and naturally should be pro West and thankful to them, no?
But they keep the angry face to show they are independent!?
Horrible Indeed

I can't laugh, I am
by rosie is roxy is roshan on Thu Jul 16, 2009 05:16 AM PDTvery traumatized as of yesterday. Please read the news item I posted yesterday along with the links in the article itself carefully. Now that the 'missing' prisoners are beginning to 'show up', I am very afraid Sohrab was only the tip of the iceberg.
//iranian.com/main/news/2009/07/15/rape-taraneh-prison-abuse-irans-protesters
We had rumors of terrible cases of violent rape of females and males in the prisons since early on but they came as anonymous posts to the main clearinghouses for reliable information such as huffpost and lede blog, nyt, or tweets. As such they could not be confirmed so were not prominently featured if at all. To my knowledge this is the first case with a name and a face and details together that has been prominently featured.
Tip of the iceberg, what else could it be? Why else have all these prisoners been missing? Where are they? In what state are they in physically and psychologically if they are alive? Have some of them perhaps gone mad?
The family of Taraneh was so pressured by the authorities not to talk. Then of course there is the dual pressure of the disgrace of rape within an Islamic society. Finally the reason I gave above, all these things made it almost impossible for verifiable information to come out.
Finally right after Sohrab it has come out on huffpost. Her circumstances at present are still unclear band apparently the huffpost people are investigating it but they say at the end maybe we can still save her life so obviously they are not good circumstances.
I am afraid it is the tip of the iceberg.
