Soudabeh Neeya is one of Iran's finest acting talents with an impressive body of work.

I first saw her on stage at the Royal Court Theatre in London in 1987 and was bowled over by her stage presence. She had been living in Paris and was in London to perform the female lead in Iraj Jannati Ataie's play "Prometheus in Evin". The work and her part received critical acclaim and she went on to perform the same part in English at the Young Vic afterwards. She has appeared in films, plays and television Dramas alike.

London may arguably be described as the birthplace of Theatre as known in the western world and this alone attracts dramatists of all descriptions from around the globe. Through sheer dedication and acting ability Soudabeh Neeya continues to be in constant demand in this city which in itself is a tremendous achievement. A remarkable artist who has stayed true to her art.
