Improvement of drug delivery techniques is critical for
the widespread use of many new treatments. Though
jet injectors
have the potential to reduce pain and side effects associated with
hypodermic needles, they face inherent limitations such as unreliable
injection dose and cross contamination. Current jet injectors are
either air- or spring-powered and are plagued by variability in
jet velocity, volume of drug delivered to the patient, as well as
