Cinema Without Borders:Ahmad Kiarostami has worked in cinema and software industries for twenty years. After taking on leadership roles at Microsoft Middle East, he founded three companies including the first multimedia and online production venue in Iran, where he published award-winning multimedia products in cinema and visual arts. Ahmad was a member of several national software standard committees, and developed the first full-text search technology for Persian content which was adopted by different products and online newspapers. Am I missing something?

I know I don't have any cinemtographic background and maybe I don't understand the message trough this release..but...., come on !

The images are beautifully perfect, Paris 5 am, very beautiful but nothing new!! The images from the Seine and the Cathedral of Notre-Dame are splendid (this was my Quartier, means the location where I'd lived) and also the images of Pere-la-Chaise cemetery and the grave of Sadegh Hedayat.......all in all it was a very beautiful sketch in regrd to the  filmography technique. Good for a documentary movie on Paris.

But the music??? Sorry I have heard better. And the theme or the message of the movie? What is it?

Of course it is not still released, but the 4:4o min clip, was nothing extra-ordinary interesting to me, unless the name of the director is "Kiarostami".....that's the best part :-) 

Or...was it  just an ad for his site?!!

I know, I know...I'm bad.

Beautiful

The video for "La Ferme Abandonnée" is incredibly beautiful. The unique camera angles, the soft early morning daylight, the fact that there is not a soul in sight in one of the busiest cities in the world... all in all combine into a spiritual experience. Can't wait to see his feature film when he decides to make one. Soon I hope!

A granted wish

I have  been an admirer and a frequent user of  "Persopedia". But, I did not know who was the founder until I read this article and saw the video. For me, Persopedia is a dream came true and a  wish that was granted.  Thank you so much, Ahmad for creating this site and for all your other artistic projects. Like sun, like father!
