Yes honey, there's DVD of Shahr Ghesseh.

I had it in France (CD) but couldn't bring it here as the systems are different.

I did a search on the web and found this site for you, where you can actually order your DVD.

//www.iranianmovies.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv...

Let me know if it works or not.

PS: You can also send me an email. It's a pleasure for me to help, my dear friend.

Souri, his voice

by Monda on

is stuck in my head since I saw these clips for the first time last night! My first hit was that man sounded just like the Mulla (or roubaah) in shahre ghesseh! Now I'm wondering if Shahre Ghesse is on DVD. Do you know?

I don't know how I get to miss such interesting featured items here!

Funny!

by Souri on

I was amazed by the Akhound voice and accent, it was exactly, I mean really exactly like the Mulla on the Shahr Ghesseh...I believe it is inspired by Shahr Ghesseh's characters. Good job!

Hey guys please be fare! Can't you see how they have improved since 1970's? They have produced the video in black and white and put a silky-smooth effect on it!!!

I totally agree. Even the dynamics of Sigheh has changed in Iran. Tehrangeles needs to catch up with the rest, but then again let them continue. Not a big deal.

by Arash78 (not verified) on

This is so lame. The Iranians abroad, especially those in L.A, are frozen in time, they are still living in the 1970's. Even akhoonds don't speak like that anymore and what's up with the cheap imitation of Shahreh gheseh?

Compare this to the works of Mehran Modiri and the social issues he tackles with, and the language he uses in his comedy, and see he how unsophisticated and lame it is to still mock a "haj agha" who wants to have a young chubby girl as sigheh!
