Walking out on Ahmadinejad

Dozens of diplomats walk out on his speech as he accuses Israel as a "racist government"

CNN -- The opening of a United Nations conference in Switzerland on anti-racism was marred by chaotic scenes Monday as protests and a walkout by delegates disrupted a controversial address by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The presence of the Iranian leader at the conference had already prompted Israel to withdraw its ambassador from Switzerland, while several countries including the United States are also boycotting the gathering. Dozens of delegates walked out of the chamber as Ahmadinejad accused Israel and the West of making "an entire nation homeless under the pretext of Jewish suffering ... in order to establish a totally racist government."

The english denied these

by zebel20 on

The english denied these Zionist entry to england for over 300 years,
Nepolean went to war against these Zionists to get back the control of
there country’s money and assets, abrahim lincon was assassinated for
not allowing these Zionists to take control of america’s money. But now
unfortunately they do have control of the money, and they control usa
and the government, so they do as they’re pleased. Beside philistine is
not there home land, as a matter of fact Georgia used to be there
original home land. Still, there is no excuse for their actions, if so
then the entire middle east should be part of iran, America should be
given back to the native Americans and so on. What was theirs 2000
years ago is in fact in the past, and as I have mentioned, Georgia was
there homeland.

Hey GUys guess what!

by 1hamvatan (not verified) on

To All Ahmadinejad Aficionandos

by LanceRaheem on

Those who support Mr. Ahmadinejad and the speech (if one can call ranting the giving of a speech) seem to be angry that some delegates did not want to listen to his drival. They've heard it before.  All this man seems to be able to do is beat one drum...the Palestinian drum.

Notwithstanding the fact that Mr. Ahmadinejad is a one trick pony, no one infringed his right to speak and he said what he wanted to say.  However, no one has the right to force people to listen.  Bearing this in mind, why do so many of you all get upset that a significant portion of the delegates elected to refuse to listen to his ranting?  You can't have your cake and eat it too.  If you want this man to be able to rant in public forums, you must acknowledge the RIGHT of much of the world...an important part of the world.... not to listen.  They will either not show up to his rant raves, or they will get up and walk out (as is their RIGHT), or they will give him the finger and put their hands over their ears.

I for one applaud them for exercising their right not to listen.  The man is a disgrace and he has humiliated Iran once more.  If he wants to help his Palestinian brothers and sisters so much, why doesn't he do us all a favor and just move there permanently?  Those of you who support him in his Arab crusade are hypocrits.  He and his ilk have trampled the rights of the proud Iranian people for thirty years.  We don't hear you raising your voices about that, but you jump on the bandwagon of his Arab campaign.  Have you Palestinian lovers forgotten that Palestinians joined Saddam's army in droves when he was killing hundreds of thousands of Iranians throughout the 80s.  I am disgusted.

Racism is surely felt by millions of innocent people who are "Branded" by some as T'ists these days. Can you tell the 10 year old resisdent of Gazza to stop seeking for "Justice" after loosing his/her lost ones in fron of their eyes?

Stop all the hatred, Mr. Ahmadinejad!

by Ali Najafi (not verified) on

When will the Iranian Islamic government address the extreme human rights abuses within Iran? Mr. Ahmadinejad's talk was a slap to the faces of all Iranians.

Mr. Ahmadinejad it is time to act with deeds... Stop oppressing ethnic minorities, Baha'is, women, free-thinkers, and the many others. The words of the Islamic Republic are shallow and are meaningless when its own very actions seek to destroy human dignity. More than 30 years have passed and what has the Islamic Republic done to promote human rights, dignity, tolerance, and justice?

Mr. Ahmadinejad stop the killing, torture, oppression, and violence. Stop the blood, anger, and hatred. You speak in the name of religion, but all you have done is to betray and undermine something so noble. It is like the thief preaching about honesty or the corruptor speaking about equity. Better yet, it is like assassin talking about the value of human life.

Don't be selective...

by Reality Checks (not verified) on

If you care for humanity, care for all, and foremost for our own countrymen, 50,000 of whom have been murdered in the past 30 years. This is far far more than the number of palestinians killed in the same time period. Is there anything worse than execution of our own youth?

Turks killed (armenian) Christian - 1 million of them during WWI

Christians killed Jews - 6 million of them in WWII

Jews killed Palestinian arabs -

Arabs killed Blacks - 300,000 in darfur

Arabs killed Persians - 500,000 in iran-iraq war, many more earlier in history

IRI islamists executed 50,000 iranians in the past 30 years.

Don't be selective!

Would you care as much about blacks in darfur or would they not count?

Would you care as much about 50,000 iranians that IRI has executed or would they not count?

IRI is fooling you; they do not give a damn about palestinians or iranians; they just USE either AND YOU to remain in power.

Don't be so naive and fall for this crap after 30 years of betrayal of iranians by none but the islamic republic mullas.

Mola Nasredeen

Kaveh, do you know whom I'm concerned for? For myself, for my

by Mola Nasredeen on

family, for my country, United States and Iran. That's where the Palestinian issue comes up for me. The Zionist occupation of Palestine has endangered my economical and political security. How? By turning hundreds of millions of Muslims against the country I've called home for most of my life.

You may ask what does Israel have to do with it? Zionist Jews have occupied somebody else's land in Middle East, a land called Palestine. Zionist Jews such as yourself have manipulated the American political system and have pushed us to support the crimes of Israel against our better judgement. Zionist Jews have manipulated our American system to send more than 150 billion dollars over the last 25 years to this illegal regime while creating enemies for us left and right. The money that could have been used to create jobs, housing and economic oppurtunities here in the United States.

I'm concerned for the safety of the new Iranian American generation who is under constant anti-Iranian, anti-Muslim, anti-Middle Eastern propaganda by Zionist Jews in Hollywood and other centers of power.

And I'm concerned for the poor Palestinian kids who are kicked out of their homes, farms, villages and being shot and killed on a daily basis for demonstrating against the criminal/racist anti-human regime of Israel.

Only the the ones who are blinded by racism and greed don't see the truth when it comes to the racist idealogy of Zionism. United Nation declared Zionism as racism in 1970's. It was not Ahmadinejad or Khomieni or whoever who said it first. You know the truth but you think you're smarter than the rest of us and can play around the central issue of the occupation of somebody else's land by the the Zionists of the world such as yourself.

Unnecessary rhetoric

I am proud that IRI has not allowed Israeli/pro Israeli extremists destroy Iran, and wish IRI continued success in keeping their hands off of Iran. However I don't agree with Ahmadineja's rhetoric.
Yes, many Zionists (very likely majority of them) are racist, but so are the other major ethnic/religious groups such as Persians, Arabs, Turks, ..., and Kurds.
Similarly Ahmadinejad thinks capitalism is bad, as if we don't have capitalism in Iran,..., ironically we currently have a ruthless form of capitalism in Iran!

Did you not know why they did not do this?!

Because there is no defense for the illegitimate and racist Jewish state and any questioning of its legitimacy, or criticism even, is ALWAYS responded to by charges of anti-Semitism and now attacks on the regime in Iran!  Just read the comments of the usual culprits to see not a single word has been uttered (can't be) in defence of the legitimacy of Israel, all that is repeated is attacks on Ahmadi-Nedjad, pouring venom on other commentators and attacking the IR.  As I said previously in my comment, any fault of Ahmadi-Nedjad and Iran, does not make right of Israel. Aren't you aware that there are Palestinians who are sick and tired of IR's meddling in this? You are one of those people who "claim" to be concerned for them and want to see them independent and free and autonomous.

So, why in God's name are you one of those who continues to advocate this foozool-baazi perpetrated by these idiots in Tehran?

Do you honestly see how they are helping the cause of these people in any way? Because no one else can.

The idea that you, as an Iranian, think that you are properly or adequately suited to render assistance to this cause is BS. We're Iranian, we're not messianic.

We have a country of our own that we have been allowing to get f**ked for 3000 years yet we have the audacity to proclaim that we know what's best for another? Do you have even the slightest idea how elitist that is?

How dare you defend that monkey? His talking about racism and equality and fairness is the equivalent of having O.J. Simpson as a marriage and relationship counselor.

this was a conference on racism. many countries has problem with sexism and religous intolgerance.

IRI has religious based laws that treat women and bahais differently. many muslim women follow it willingly as cultural. For Bahais it is definintly religious intolerance but it is no racism, they are the same race as the muslims, not based on 'nejad'.

you are bache Tork?, so am I, and so is SUPREME LEADER Khamenei. i have heard all the jokes. there are many ethnicities in iran. some tribal tension. but if you want to say IRI is racist, where is the law that they passed against anybody's race? what race is disproportionately jailed and executed?

ISRAEL has many laws like that. it is not the same. you should be correct and tell the truth.

Reza-Rio de Janeiro

Anti- Injustice Slogans!!!!

by Reza-Rio de Janeiro on

Mr. Ahmadinejad,

Based on your offensive language and contents of your speeches in front of the world, It is unfortunately clear that you do not really care about Iran's reputation and Iranian people in general , So please Sir, If you are trying to defend Palestinias and their rights INSTEAD OF US IRANIANS, at least try to preach PEACE and be PRO-PEACE instead of being Anti- Injustice or as you manifest it : Being an Anti-Zionist and Anti Israel!

Even if you think you are RIGHT, You MUST NOT change one Evil approach with yet Another EVIL approach in return Sir! You can not preach Peace while you practice Hate simontanously! That is against the Universal Rules of Truth and Peace Sir!

You can not be "ANTI this or Anti that"  if you want to make some of your valid points understood  and proven to people around the world! You can only reach your goals in practicing truly Peaceful Thoughts, Words and Actions and share that with everyone in this world Sir! That is the only way people around the world may consider you and your ways!!! The only way!

Unfortunately NOW and after your offensive speeches and lectures in United Nations, in the eyes and ears of the majority of people around the world, Your hateful lectures and speeches has brought yet another "ANTI" reaction and effect toward Iran, Iranians and everything you think you are and standing for Sir!!! Whether you are Right or Wrong, That is another book by itself and is subject to years of in depth analysis, forgiveness and compromises by Palestinian and Israeli Governments and People in order for them to reach a Peaceful resolution! They are the only parties who are truly involved, NOT US SIR, WE ARE IRANIANS and around 3,000 Kilometers away, Hello !!!!! Don't you think as Iranians, we have numerous challenges and problems of our own as a nation and country Sir? You are the President of a country like Iran!!!! Don't you think Sir????

You have shamed and destroyed one of the oldest and most Peaceful Civilizations (Iran) and her people (Iranians) on this Earth look and sound like YOU and like bunch of Hateful people around the globe as a result of your selfish and unkind thoughts, words and actions Sir!!!! Why in the world you would do something so stupid and unkind to your fellow country men and women? Why Sir?

In any healthy and Peaceful argument in this world , an enlightened person seeks two basic and simple points:

Peaceful and Proper "Validation and Credit"!

You failed on both and subsequently failed us all on a world stage as Iranians Sir!

You have FAILED this Peaceful argument and Shamed us Iranians around the globe as a Peaceful Nation!

You are slowly succeeding in Destruction of Iran , Iranians and the rest of the world by your Hateful and "Anti" thoughts, words and actions which are completely UN-Iranian. You are born and raised in IRAN, so please Think, Talk and Act like an Iranian Sir, Like a Truly Enlightened Iranian and President of a beautiful, Peaceful and one of the Oldest and Wisest countries in this world Sir, please!!!!!

May God stop you and all the other lost souls, Peacefully and Re-direct you all toward LIGHT, TRUE PEACE and LOVE.

If you want to challenge me with the obvious then it tells me how little you might know about IR regime.

IR and the criminal sepahi goons along with blood thirsty akhund have committed worst forms of racism in our own country.

to name a few,  Women, Baha'is, Kurds, Azari's[of which I am a member] young, old, and in between.

Although I find it total hypocrisy where US and counties such as Netherlands boycott the conference, but lets admit that Ahmadnejad, and the criminal akhund bunch are no better than Israel. To me they are same, only difference is one is wearing turban and the other kippah.

Someone teach this man a bit of leadership...

by The Fly (not verified) on

The IRI never disappoints the Iranians in disappointing them!!! Well, that's an understatement considering everything. It's amazing that no one actually teaches Ahmadinejad the ABC's of leadership. Mr. Ahmadinejad, even if you want to be the radical revolutionary, you'll get nowhere if no one listens to you!

There is something to say about Israel at an anti-racism conference. There is something to say about those who chose to boycott the conference. He could have been smart about it. But alas, he had to just go off the cliff! The most stupid thing that one can do when the nail is not going in, is to hammer it harder!

I would have started by reminding the audience of the 1936 speech of Haile Selassie to the League of Nations and the response to it from the League. After Fascist Italy's brutal invasion of Ethiopia, he took his case to the League and asked them to live up to their words and intervene. He was laughed at by the delegates of some of the very European countries who think discussing Israel in an anti-racism conference is beyond the pale.

But not Mr. Ahmadinejad, he has to go head first into the cement wall. Well, here is how one should discuss the issue:

Norman Finkelstein:
