Fereidoun Kohanim was a caring husband and loving father of 2 boys. At the age of 72, Fereidoun was still helping his sons by working at the counter of his sons' discount store in Downtown Los Angeles. It was behind that very counter that his life was tragically cut short on December 21st after 3 robbers shot and killed him in cold blood in front of his wife and with his two sons in the back of the store [News]. FF you are as you always are
by HollyUSA on Thu Dec 24, 2009 10:52 AM PSTHiding behind lies that you hope others will buy.
First off, mageh koori?? As Kourosh pointed out I said IF. Don't know the meaning? Look it up. Or is it simply not allowed to question anything tied to any group that you are so sineh chaak for??
Secondly, let's just assume that this is NOT the family that I think it might be. Tell me what poor destitute person OWNS a business. Either you are ignorant or you are hoping everyone else is. It is fair to assume that filling up a store of that size with inventory, anywhere in town takes serious dough, so does paying the rent alone.
Last but not least, you know as well as I do that in LA, a great number of Iranians own and work at (mostly retail) businesses in neighborhoods where none of us would dare go after sundown and live in mansions in Beverly Hills and Bel Air. So stop trying to fool everyone with your idiotic argument of the 98 cent store in a bad neighborhood not being a money maker.
None of that however, takes away from my sympathy for the family's pain in such a tragedy nor from how vagheeh you continue to be.
Not Fair.

I am certain that due to this dude last name, Kohanim you thought to yourself that hey, a Jew cannot be poor. Ha?
If this guy had lots of money and property, he, his wife and 2 sons would not be working in a $0.98 store. Thats right 4 people, running a convenient store in a sucky neighbourhood of LA. And if they were rich they would at least own the stores building which they don't.
You have managed to out do yourself and go one step lower in the scale of humanity.
Happy Holidays to you too.
faramraz
you obviously do not happen to know that many owners or how this system works. do you know how many of these owners, in rich neighborhoods or poor ones i saw working as cashiers or managers during various times? Besides, I belive she said "IF" it is the family that i think i know, then ....
Your criteria for qualifying one as a human and his or place on "the scale of humanity" is rather harsh bro, Sure hope you meet such qualifications like a solid rock.

This is truly tragic. I am mad as hell!! I cannot even imagine how his wife and sons feel at this moment. What I would do to these fucking specks who killed him in cold blood is to gradually dismember them by first cutting their hands, then tounges, and finally their balls - if they have one!. I would then feed these organs to their fucking parents who immmigrated to this country to A) work menial jobs and B) Produce offsprings who end up being a menance to society
Heyyyy there cowboy. easy there baba. How can You be certain of either of those assertions?? People do not migrate to this country to specifically take up menial jobs. They do so because THERE ARE NO other options. And I hope someday you can see it in your heart and realize that parents can not always be held responsibles for the "ojoobeh" that their offspring turns into.
HollyUSA you suck as a human being

by HollyUSA on Wed Dec 23, 2009 10:59 PM PSTThis has nothing to do with living in a 'free' society. Criminals are found in every kind of society, rich, poor, free, totalitarian...you name it.
Also, this may be a free society for you and I, but the kid that grows up in a gang infested neighborhood, at risk in school, on the way home, in the park and often even AT home with these types of role models has a different take on 'freedom'.

The Dark Side of Freedom
by Bahram G on Wed Dec 23, 2009 09:00 PM PSTIt is indeed a great tragedy that the precious privilege that we have in living in a free society comes with horrific abuses by sub-humans who walk on two feet. There is little difference between the killers in Iran who murder innocent people to keep on filling their pockets and the thugs in this country who kill to feed their drug habit or whatever they need money for. Tragic indeed. My condolences to his bereaved family.

by HollyUSA on Wed Dec 23, 2009 02:29 PM PSTMy heartfelt condolences go out to his family for the loss of their husband/father in such a senseless and brutal act.
However, if this is the same person I think it is, there is
absolutely no need for 'fund raising' site to help the family. If this is
the family I believe it is, they are wealthier than most with several
properties and businesses throughtout LA county. I am certainly hoping
that this is in fact NOT the same people or at least that they are not
aware of the fundraising efforts but will put a stop to it immediately.
Blame it on NRA
by farokh2000 on Wed Dec 23, 2009 02:27 PM PSTIt is the Cowboy mentality as well as the Military Industrial Machine/Beast that is running this Country, without which the economy would be in the toilet, even worse than it is today.
All these Wars they start are to satisfy/feed this Beast.
You don't find that in any other civilized society, yet they call themsleves the most civilized Nation on Earth.
They have brainwashed their citizens that it is their right to bear arm, just like the freedom of speech.
I am so sorry about your loss. It is a shame on this society.
When Will YOU Americans Ban Arms Sales ? ...;0(
by Darius Kadivar on Wed Dec 23, 2009 02:21 PM PSTOnly in America ! ...
Can you find people buying Guns, Kalashnikov machine guns, Bazzokas as if they were purchasing in a grocery shop and then they go and shoot their fellow classmates in a school in Virginia or LA or go and gun down fellow colleagues at work !
I'm afraid not Even Sept 11th has had the slightest influence on the average American mindset ! ...
Its Really Hallucinating that no one in the US crusades against this Cowboy mentality ! ...
The US of A Thrives on a Culture of Violence !
Condolences to Mr. Kohanims Family !
