Re: Question
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Sun Dec 27, 2009 12:02 PM PST1) No. There was a lot of internal dissatisfaction. Plus a lot of foreign influence. People wanted democracy not Islam. They got lied to and cheated by Khomeini.
2) Yes the revolution was going to happen. No it would not have split up.
3) United. There is 3000+ years of history. In the past separations were not voluntary.
There are always hot heads who are going to try things. Without major foreign help they will not succeed. It will be a hard few years but I think Iran will make it.
Questions
by Bunyip on Sat Dec 26, 2009 09:29 PM PSTDid the revolution of 79 succeed, because of the common religious belief in Iran, ie Shieism, amongst various ethnic groups?
Would this revolution have been successful if it were purely based on nationalistic sentiments? ie if nationalism was the only reason for the revolution, would Iran be dissolved into various little areas serving local ethnic groups?
Similarly, if the revolution were based on the will of people wanting democracy, would Iran remain united, or dissolved along ethnic lines?
Omid Karimi: Wow, I had not
by vildemose on Sat Dec 26, 2009 07:38 PM PSTOmid Karimi: Wow, I had not seen that video. That was a profoundly significant interview; A rare insight into the Shah's mind and where he stood with the West and on the issue of independence. Thanks.
Very interesting......
by Natalia Alvarado-Alvarez on Sat Dec 26, 2009 05:12 PM PSTI have actually been looking into what occurred so long ago to gain a better understanding on the current events in Iran.
People who support this,
by usernomnom on Sat Dec 26, 2009 05:09 PM PSTI don't understand. If people truly want the Islamic from the Islamic republic, wouldn't they just vote for an Islamic government if a democratic platform was in place? Then why do we need an unelected council to determine who people can vote for? If it's needed to stop the public voting against 'Islamic', why call it a republic at all?
Islamic; Jewish; West
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Sat Dec 26, 2009 04:42 PM PSTWe have to stop being pawns in the hands of various powers. An intelligent would not be so easily manipulated. Any idiot should have been able to tell Khomeini was no "democrat"; nor "Islam" a path for our nation. No matter how much propaganda it was obvious that we were much better off with Bakhtiar. But due to some sort of vindictive selfishness JM was unwilling to support Bakhtiar and preferred the blood thirsty Imam.
Until our population pulls its collective heads out of their *** it will be the same ***. No more hero worship! No more religious brain washing. No more 1400 year old nonsense for guidance.
As long as we are going to be sheep someone will manipulate us. One day the British; next the Israelis and then the Mullahs. Once we start thinking for ourselves; put selfishness aside none of them will be able to hurt us. I drink to that !
Shah/Khomeini
by Emil on Sun Dec 27, 2009 09:26 AM PSTActually the X-dictator Mohammad Reza Pahlavi was instrumental in helping this evil akhond Khomeini to take over Iran.
MR Pahlavi's dictatorial rule, with his vicious SAVAK terrorizing the nation and his entire corrupt military, cause Iranians to run to this evil akhond Khomeini, and eventually fell into a deeper hole...
Shah/Monarchy, Akhond/Islam two side of the same crap...
Wrong Omid, Shah smelled the rat!
by marhoum Kharmagas on Sat Dec 26, 2009 03:55 PM PSTOmid says: "And however bad the Shah was, he had global visions that went further than the 5 words Zionism, Global Conspiracy and Big Satan."
Here is Shah's interview about the powerful Jewish lobby:
//www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQgZ3oLp_WY
Here is Shah's interview about U.S/West wanting a stooge:
//www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCMftp2bdJA
He smelled the rat before they finished him partly through us. His words about AIPAC are as applicable to today, his words about U.S/west wanting a stooge is as applicable to today.... and his vision for wanting to make Iran independent and prosperous did not go far .... because of those forces to a large extent.
Omid karimi,

Re: WHAT AN EBLIS (EVIL)!
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Sat Dec 26, 2009 02:14 PM PSTWhy bother reforming Islam? It is not our religion and we don't need it. It was forced down our throats at the point of the sword. Personally I rather not have a religion at all but if people really need one there is:
Islam is not reformable because it is rotten at heart. Jesus preached love; Zartosht preached good thoughts; Muhammad preached hate and revenge! If you want a religion as a path to god there are much better ones out there right now.
thank god his Islam is on its way out
by mahmoudg on Sat Dec 26, 2009 01:42 PM PSTLooks like after 30 years of his backward ways, we are on the verge of getting rid of his demented thinking and his Islam. To the day that Persia is free of this eblis way of thinking.

WHAT AN EBLIS (EVIL)!
by Khar on Sat Dec 26, 2009 01:33 PM PSTIslam as a whole must be reformed, as Christianity and Judaism have done throughout the centuries. Its Satanic verses and idiology must go through hard reformation!!!! As long as the idiology of ISLAM is not questioned we will have these false messengers from Allah. ISLAM'S Idology is the Problem!
IT'S TIME FOR A ISLAMIC MARTIN LUTHER!!!

Re: % Liar
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Sat Dec 26, 2009 12:10 PM PSTYes Khomeini was a total lying pig. In Islam it is perfectly fine to lie for Allah! What bothers me is that so many people were so naive to be fooled by it. After 1400 years of lies and misery we still had not learned that: nothing good comes out of Islam.
As I write this; another Muslim got caught trying to blow up a plane! Nice religion; so peaceful! Do you think the good Muslims will now abandon this stuff:. No, they hold on to it for their lives. Why are we being so stupid.
120% Liar
by gitdoun ver.2.0 on Sat Dec 26, 2009 11:20 AM PSTI was born some years after 1979 so I had do alot of digging around in the library to come to my own conclusions as to what the heck happened. A good book to start is Hamid Algar's Islam & Revolution-Khomeini's Writings and Declarations. And from khomeini's own lips and letters it is soooo self evident this guy blanketed the masses from 1962-1979 with HALF-TRUTHS AND LIES. He painted a government that would respect human rights, freedom of press, freedom to public assembly, rule of law, civil society, and rights of individuals. Furthermore, he made it clear in those years that the clerics would NOT rule. And when 1979 referendum took place Democracy wasn't an option; it wasn't even on the table!!! It was Yes to I.R.I or No to I.R.I (god knows how many votes were rigged) but I feel the people who did vote Yes to I.R.I believed Khomeini was honest, truthful, and would not lie .~~ They were duped.

freedom includes Islam but Islamic freedom ain`t include freedom
by Benyamin on Sat Dec 26, 2009 08:13 AM PSTThe Islamic science in Iran is as old as the science of KIMIAGARI which was a science trying to transform Copper to Gold!!! I ask everyone, would you waste your time and effort to even listen to someone that wants to talk about as if there is any scientific value to KIMIAGARI? most of the books that "Rohaniat" in Iran are studying are the beeks that are written by some about 1000 years ago. and this is the result we see! No one in Shiites version on Islam is not responssible for anything thay say today there is no accountbility and thanks to their own creativity they have placed an imaginary door to escape any responssibility. Khomeini showed and made it crystal clear for Iranian masses that there is nothing in Islam that could save them or could bring prosperity. We Iranians were/are right all along NOT trusting Islam and that is why we kept out culture and our believes and our language whatever is left of it. Khomeini good or bad selfless or selfish stupid or smart at least made that clear and now we know that we will never go back to Islam again.
