Would your head fly like a lost bird? If it does, I'm sure the blind owls would love you too..:-)
This is funnnn

I like my scarf tight though because it keeps

Hair Protest!
by Hippie (not verified) on Sat Jan 17, 2009 06:30 PM PSTIn the 60s growing hair long was a sign of protest against the establishment and norms, let's start that in Iran! If you want to protest just take of your head scarf or for man just grow your hair long!

by Jahanshah Javid on Sat Jan 17, 2009 01:26 PM PSTPondoria Khanoom, the truth is that you don't have an ounce of courage to defend your belief or else you really would have taken a picture in front of Hooters. Where's your spine?
These girls are no feminist liberators. They are ordinary school mates having a little fun. But at the same time, they chose to make a statement about what they think of forcing women to wear the hejab.
You like wearing the hejab? Good for YOU! Don't FORCE it on OTHERS.

Re:Protection Against what?
by M&M (not verified) on Sat Jan 17, 2009 08:08 AM PSTMahmoudg, consider yourself in following situations:
1. You are an attractive man in prison's shower with herd of hungry rpisoners. Will you bend down and pick up the bar of soap?
2. You are in african desert sourounded by few lions. Will you hide or go out on open field and start putting pepper and salt on yourself to become a ready meal?
3. You are in the ocean known to have sharks in the vicinity and you get injured and bloody. Will you stay around or immediately get out of the ocean?
4. in a country known for modesty in dress; Will you take off your dress and become an object (bait) for some hungry political warriors to abuse you?
The value of women is whole lot higher than exploiting their cleevage to attract hungry eyes.
Masculine energy has no position on Hejab
by PMK (not verified) on Sat Jan 17, 2009 03:38 AM PSTMasculine energy has no position on Hejab. This is a disagreement between IRI’s particular interpretation of Islam and Feminist Fascist Movement (FFM). The thugs of FFM like to escalate everything they don’t like to an all out assault on masculine energy.
For example, If they think the weather is too cold, they turn that into a long history of cold weather brutality against women plotted by male chauvinism pigs. Then, they mobilize their thugs for a campaign of “One Million Heater for One Million Women”. Naturally, this would be paid by men.
So, please , if you disagree with IRI, USA, Israel or anybody else Do it at your own expense and not at the expense of masculine energy. I am sure all of you could contribute a lot.
Also, I often see many of my brothers have turned to an overzealous feminist. Brothers, Please, grow up. There is old saying, among some circles, who focus on personal growth. Take care of yourself first. Women can take care of themselves, they don’t need your help. Trust me on that.
As always,
We are glorified gender, we don’t have to apologies.

Here we go again....
by Anonymouszzzzz (not verified) on Fri Jan 16, 2009 04:35 PM PSTThese girls are rebelling against their own omool family cultur more than anything else, and that sign is in fact for their own protection against the western porn culture than anything else. Here we have statuatory rape laws, but they don't, so this is their way of battling against keeping impressionable girls safe or from destroying themselves emotionally.
I have sisters in Iran and they walk around Tehran with far less clothing and show far more hair than these girls so you people need to do your sense of intellect a giant favor and book a trip to Iran before you continue with your random uninfomred bashing of the system which in this fashion can only serve as a cavity to your society.
This type of polarization is just another broad western tactic to ignite civil disorder for it's own personal gain. Obviously the leadership lacking west has found a yaboo or two amoung us to participate in their cause.
But more importantly, if you are so concerned about womans rights, then go and rescue the teenage girls that get mutilated in Africa or the Saudi women who can't drive, can't be seen or even be heard by another man.
Rest assured, Iran's Gamar khanooms hold their own just fine and don't need nor will they ask for your sympathy. In fact if you go there and get on your soap box on human rights and feminism, they may just politely tell you not to let the door hit you in the ass on your back to the west. Don't treat that population as if they are a bunch of stooges.
Datamine this!!!

Protection Against what?
by mahmoudg on Fri Jan 16, 2009 12:19 PM PSTMen you can't keep their dicks in their pants, or Mullahs who have to committ adultery with their follower's wives? Not sure why women need protection, other than we men know that we can't control our sexual desires, hence binding women is the only way to curb our appetites. Pathetic how religion (and all of them have that) needs to undermine the rights of others becuase a certain group had low self esteem. ajab!!

Its a farce
by Alborzi (not verified) on Fri Jan 16, 2009 07:57 AM PSTFirst I have to tell you about myself, my wife is not even moslem, my father is communist and my mother never wore a hejab. The hejab thing has become a total show of force. An Iranian girl today is sexually more active than when I left. In fact some of the stories that my cousin tells me, would have been unimaginable when I was there. In Turkey the opposite is true, they prevent the girls with hejab to go to school. Its just an imposition of will, both sides know perfectly well what is the score. In fact they may date each other. When I went to Iran in private parties once the chador was taken off, the most revealing clothes was there, as it should. Islam is a sensual religion, its more open to people's desires than any religion. The hejab issue is just a show of wills.

So long as these two wings are not equivalent in strength, the bird will not fly. When the two wings . . . become equivalent in strength, enjoying the same prerogatives, the flight of man will be exceedingly lofty and extraordinary."

The photo looks like it was taken near an all girls school in...
by Faribors Maleknasri M.D. (not verified) on Fri Jan 16, 2009 01:19 AM PST.....the Islamic Republic of Iran. The honrable scholars look so healthy and lucky. that results from Non-CO-education. The atmosphäre is a truely heartly. The same lokk the schoolboys in that country. Not so in the western countries where the poeple think they can be proud because they practice co-education and simultaneously play down the unfirtunate and the frustration which they all have just because of coeducation.
The fotografer is also female. I recomend to make an end to these senseless activities and effectless efforts to twist and distort the facts. Women in the islamic Republic of Iran enjoy so many personal, occupational and social possibilities where most of them are unknown in the socalled developed countries. 60% of students are female. The natural result is: 60 or at liest 50% of jobs are occupeid by women. In the islamic countries it is not alloud to commercialize the sexuality of individuals. The person - regardless if male or female - who comes out with no hejab interferes in the sexualfeelings, in personal and in human rights of others. and this is not alloud. The function of hejab is to protect in the first line the other poeple and indirectly the woman herself. The person who sends likewise materials know well about all these considerations. so her/his action is dobble unreasinable , is motivated by ....who knows what.
*they need to be showing some legs too?
+ may be also belly and breasts? and while the men are enjoying all those nice things the great satan comes through the backdoor and take and destroy what the honorable Iranian Nation has achieved during the last 30 years? has any "IRANIAN" asked her-/himself why westers are so apolitical and indifferent by so many fundamental question of their daily life? I think the mentioned indifference comes from the modernity which results in going bare breasts by women and impotence of men in all its dimensions. Iranians do not want to be pulled in that situation. Therefiore: Hejab. Greeting

by Anonymousxyz (not verified) on Thu Jan 15, 2009 08:43 PM PSTHejab is the only issue for not being able to have olympic in iran, just imagine the swimmers,,,,,
So iran kissed goodbye to olympic when it imposed hejab.
the girls in pic look ugly anyway, maybe hejab will help them in that regard.
the women who were attacked and kidnapped in saudi arabia by saudis were not immune even with hejab so hejab failed to protect them unlike the slogan on the message board.

by alborz on Thu Jan 15, 2009 08:09 PM PST..., or Solace of the Eyes, are emerging once again.
The 19th century poetess, also known as Tahirih (The Pure), removed her hejab in the presence of men as a sign of defiance to the traditions of the past. As an early believer in the Bab she ultimately met a brutal fate. She is revered amongst the Baha'is for her courage, strength, and knowledge and is recognized as a heroine in the emancipation of women.
The Tahirih Justice Center, located in Virginia, is dedicate to women's rights issues and provides pro bono legal services.

I asked this question 20 years ago
by Iva (not verified) on Thu Jan 15, 2009 06:53 PM PSTWhat would happen if Iranian women, those who want to, remove their forced head gear at the same time for a 1 minute (similar to one minute of silence) everyday. Say, if thousands do that, if tens of thousands do that ... there is nothing the murdering islamic government can do!
I also wondered, particularly when I saw islamic thugs attach women gatherings, where are fathers, brothers and husbands of those women who were being abused by islamic thugs! how come they are silent?
