Ghameh-Zani
by ghalam-doon on Sun Jan 18, 2009 02:20 PM PSTSome go to Homayounshahr AKA Khomeini-Shahr for self-mutilation or watching the rite. It's an annual event which happens on Ashura.
Most likely this riot had something to do with the following news item:
//www.asriran.com/fa/pages/?cid=61594
The police was running away from a very nasty bunch waving ghameh at them.
Not your regular type of anti-regime crowd. Sorry...
To A n o n
by Anonymous-irany (not verified) on Sun Jan 18, 2009 07:52 AM PSTThe most of our Politicians are our Azari countrymen and it is actually like the Qajar time that economy, Army and politic were in the hand of the Turkish people. That is the reason why we in IRI never see punishments like public execuation, hanging in the public or stoning people in Azerbaijan but in all other parts of Iranians you see all these atrocities against Iranian people. I hope that soon all Iranians see the fact that their country is ruled by Qajars and do something about it before is too late!!!!!!
Sound like a tactical
by A n o n (not verified) on Sat Jan 17, 2009 09:31 PM PSTSound like a tactical retreat, only. It may even be a training maneuver. It is interesting:
1) You can hear commands in Farsi and Azari. Sound like our fellow Azari countrymen still have a big role in our armed forces.
2) The police throwing stones. For a religious dictatorship, you would think they would have budget for proper equipment.
A short description of what
by Nima (not verified) on Sat Jan 17, 2009 08:47 PM PSTA short description of what this was about would be appreciated
This protest ended in 15 minutes
by Jamshid Niavarani III (not verified) on Sat Jan 17, 2009 08:20 PM PSTI spoke with my chums in Homayounshahr in the Isfahan province, this clash took 15 minutes to squash. The police got everything under control. All the hooligans were arrested and corrected. No other information is available on those arrested.
In Iran the theocracy is the only power in town. There is no valid opposition to them.
In a population of 70 million. At least 75% of the Male population is connected to the Revolutionary Guards. The revolutionary Guards only answer to the Spiritual Leader.
Then there is the Fedayaneh-Islam. They are the internal/external force that keeps the status-quo. They are violent supporters of the theocracy. These men drink alcohol, eat ham sandwiches, hang out at discos in Europe and the U.S. and help keep the Islamic Republic in place. I would bet there are a bunch of these guys in the Gaza Strip presently. Those Israeli Soldiers that have been killed up to this date in the Gaza Strip were killed by Iranian Fedayaneh-Islam.
And then there is the external Qods-Force. They are the international version of the Revolutionary Guards. They are every where. They search and destroy. These soldiers are also in the Gaza Strip. They are probably back up for the Fedayaneh-Islam.
There is absolutely no way that the theocracy will go away in Iran. It's been over 30 years since the Shah fled Iran. In less than 1 month 30 years will have passed since the Iranian Revolution. February 11, 1979 is just around the corner.
US President Obama will make a peace deal with Iran for Caviar, Persian Rugs and Oil. And the world will go on.
And all these clips and all those satellite tv stations will be proven a joke once again.
It is high time that this nuttiness stop. We have to be realistic. Let us stop this B.S.
And God bless America. And why not?
Police farar ra bar garaar tarjeeh daad!
