Very interesting excerpt shows dismay when a much-expected baby boy turns out to be a baby girl. A sadly true problem with some families' thinking about gender.

Not realistic at all. In Todays Iran, where 60% of students are female and women in Iran play an active role in the daily life of the country no parents are ad if they get a female child. The rest is only good enough for a movie or TV Film as Panahi has made it. Of course such films are a thankfull subject to be discussed in "IRANIAN". For real questions of life in the diaspora and real complicated intelectual problems is the Bloger of "IRANIAN" either too tired or too afraid to bring a critical word about His/Her "Houst" country. But criticising what the honorable Iranians do, whatever they eat, whatever they drink, the way they choose their clothes and so an and so on makes a plus on the honor of Iranians in the diaspora. Unfortunately only in the "IRANIAN". Greeting

I saw this film .... it was really a shame that this is the truth for some families. ALL children are a gift.
