Borat the Perrrrrrrrrsian
by Saman on Mon Jan 05, 2009 05:50 AM PSTWhere is Borat? He certainly has contributed more than Afshin-Jam. Also not only Perrrrrrrsian is not the right term to use but that's not even our current flag. like it or not!
Persians and Iranians?
by choghok on Mon Jan 05, 2009 01:43 AM PSTWhat some people are saying here is a paradox that is pretty obvious. How can you say Persian is not an ethnicity? Then what is it?
How do you differ between an Baluch which speaks Baluchi as mother tounge and a guy who speak Persian as mother tounge and both are Tehranis? You say one of them is Baluch and the other one is Persian right? Or do you say that they are both Persians?
If you say that Iranian = Persian then you have removed what is great about Iran and replaced it with an Ataturk kind of Iran that is forced to have one single ethnicity and the rest is somehow from same origin (kurds are called mountain Turks for example in turkey).

So what is with this PERSIAN-MANIA...? Why IRANIANS are afraid of saying they are from IRAN? simple...? What are we trying to hide from...?

by donya (not verified) on Sun Jan 04, 2009 05:24 PM PST"WE" are all Persians/Iranians.
From the shores of the Persian Gulf to the shores of the Caspian sea, from our eastern borders to our western borders... we are all one Nation.
May God Bless Iran.

by Anonymous123 (not verified) on Sun Jan 04, 2009 04:19 PM PSTPersians are people living in IRAN REGARDLESS OF THEIR ETHNICITIES(Pars, Kurds, Lors,Azary, Baloch, Kozestany, Korasany, Mazndrany etc.). We are proud to be PERSIANS.

by MRX1 (not verified) on Sun Jan 04, 2009 10:23 AM PSTI would take Agasi out of this video. The guy did not acknouledge his link to Iran even once! And even if he did it was in a negative tone.
Why mentioned their religions?
by Anonymous Iranian 1 (not verified) on Sun Jan 04, 2009 09:48 AM PSTWhy refer some as being Baha'i Iranians? Why not just call them Iranians? Is mentioning their religion going to bring their religion recognition?
Alas, some of these same
by Proud Iranian (not verified) on Sun Jan 04, 2009 07:24 AM PSTAlas, some of these same people have deliberately and consistently hidden their Iranian or Persian origins from the public in the West.
Bad Title!
by choghok on Sun Jan 04, 2009 06:49 AM PSTNot all Iranians are Persians like the name Omid Kordestani would suggest.
