Mir Hossein Mousavi and his wife Zahra Rahnavard met the family of 19-year-old Sohrab Arabi (Aarabi / Erabi) who was killed by gunshot wound suffered during demonstrations against election fraud. See his burial at Beheshte Zahra.
AP: Mousavi vowed not to let the blood of protesters killed in postelection crackdown go in vain as he met with the family of a young man shot to death during the turmoil, reformist Web site reported Wednesday. Several hundred supporters gathered, some chanting "death to the dictator," as Mousavi and his wife visited the family of Sohrab Aarabi, 19, who disappeared during a June 15 protest, according to mowjcamp.com, a site close to Mousavi. Footage from the visit posted on the Web showed Mousavi moving through a crowd of well-wishers inside Aarabi's family home to his parents to express condolences >>>

You are absolutely right. The point, however, is that the "spark" has done its job and is of no more use. All we have to do is to fan the "flame."

Mousavi!!!
by Reza-Rio de Janeiro on Wed Jul 15, 2009 12:50 PM PDTTrue Iranians never forgive or trust anyone who collaborated with this EVIL Islamic Regime to come to power, rule and ruin Iran, Iranian lives and kill them for 30 + long years, Reformer or Non-reformer ...
I am completely agreeing with all the comments here who express the fact that this recent uprising in Iran by brave Iranians was not about Mousavi and reform and instead was for their own basic human rights and Freedom. Mousavi and Co. were just an excuse, a narrow platform of opprtunity for Iranians to jump toward Freedom and Justice... At this point, Iranians will use any platform, any window of opprtunity! Mousavi or anyone else! The final goal is Freedom and Justice!
Now It's nice of the gentleman to visit this poor Sohrab's family for Tashreefaat and Condolences, but Do I trust any of these people? No F#$king way...At the end of the day, they are all part of the same clan and family and I'm afraid they are fooling the Iranian nation with yet another plot... They need each other to survive and know the moment they go against each other is the inevitable moment for all true Iranians to rise up again and fire them all! Iranians want to get back to their own original Iranian selves and paths in their lives.
I am not a Shahi by any means, but God bless his soul, he was an ANGLE compare to all these low lives and criminals.
Sohrab and all those brave Iranians who were killed by Evil I.R., May You all Rest in ETERNAL PEACE.
Free Iran and Iranians...

by capt_ayhab on Wed Jul 15, 2009 12:29 PM PDTYou can call Mousavi any name you wish, and actually I would agree with many of them. However it seems that some of us are missing the entire deal[lets call it Green Movement ;-) ]
Despite his affiliation with the regime and despite any name that we may wish to call him, he gets one credit:
Mousavi was the SPARK that ignited this huge FIRE, and I doubt anyone can deny it. I would seriously doubt that even he himself could have anticipated the magnitude of the movement that followed.

by alipournourbakhsh on Wed Jul 15, 2009 08:33 AM PDTWe have this saying in Iran: Sageh zard baradareh shoghaleh. It simply says that a Yellow dog is a brother of a hyenas. Mousavi is just like the rest of the bearded killers clan.

This sabz business
by Iranian Reader on Wed Jul 15, 2009 04:32 AM PDTYou know and I know that people used the Mousavi campaign and all that green bullshit to show their disgust and anger at the regime. You think Mousavi doesn't know that? Knowing that, you think he feels any pity for what happens to his "supporters"? You think Sohrab is any different in his eyes than those thousands that were executed during the last period he was in power?
I try to be supportive of the best intentions of the people on this site who have adopted the green symbolism. OK, whatever, if it makes you feel happy and hopeful or whatever... I really am trying to be understanding of people's sentimentalism. But how can you, how can you possibly look at this hypocrite and coward with that self-promoting wench at his side and believe that they give a damn about Sohrab or his mother? I'm sorry, if you believe them you are bordering on being fools.
And anyway, remember Mousavi's announcement that he was ready to be martyred? What happened?! I guess Neda and Sohrab and the rest make better martyrs.

موسوی، موسوی، سکوت کنی خائنی
Farah RustaWed Jul 15, 2009 03:40 AM PDT

Jacking up the cost
by Fred on Wed Jul 15, 2009 03:37 AM PDTTo trust an Islamist, any run of the mill unrepentant Islamist, let alone one with this Mousavi couple’s resume delivering anything but misery is to believe in tooth fairy.
The sadness lies in all the irreplaceable lives and aroused hopes that these Islamists betray and distinguish and jack up the cost of the inevitable demise of the Islamist cutthroats republic.
