AP: Angry demonstrators broke into the Iranian Embassy outside Stockholm on Friday, climbing in through shattered windows and injuring one embassy worker, police said.
More than 150 people had gathered outside the embassy to protest against the Iranian regime, when some of them attacked the building with rocks and tore down a fence to enter the embassy grounds, police spokesman Ulf Hoglund said.
"A few managed to climb through broken windows into the building," Hoglund said. He said one member of the embassy staff was injured inside the building, but didn't know how seriously.
Fifty police officers and an ambulance were dispatched to the scene. Hoglund said police had evicted the demonstrators from the building and arrested one person.
Organizers of the demonstration said a few of the protesters were injured in clashes with the embassy's security officers.
"We want a regime change," said Firouzeh Ghaffrpour, one of the organizers. "The Islamic system is not wanted by the people of Iran."
The protesters, mostly Iranians, also demanded the embassy be closed.
Police said the situation was under control later Friday, but demonstrators continued to block the entrance, preventing embassy personnel from leaving.
The protest followed several peaceful demonstrations in Sweden after President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was re-elected in a June 12 vote that the opposition claims was marred by massive fraud.

No-brainer
by Fred on Fri Jun 26, 2009 02:14 PM PDTIt is a source of endless amazement to see Iranians in the occupied Iran when one of the attacking occupation forces falls into their hands they shield him from harm. Contrasting that with this feel good nonsense is educational.
The best revenge Iranians can take on the Islamist cutthroats’ republic is to achieve the century old desire of rule of just laws and accountability of the ruling apparatus. Avoiding the fall into the Islamist cutthroats’ trap, not playing the game that the Islamist cutthroats know only too well how to play and no one can beat them at it for their cruelty knows no bounds, is a no brainer.

by bikar (not verified) on Fri Jun 26, 2009 01:38 PM PDTNo one said anything when these people or their father' attacked Iranian embassies all over the world in 1979 and took over them and attacked the staff, now they are poor people looking for jobs, how about young Iranians who do not have jobs inside of Iran and being killed every day?
Second why is the camera is side way? However thank you for the pictures any way.
Dear Alborzi
by eroonman on Fri Jun 26, 2009 01:38 PM PDTTell this to the US embassy folks in 1979. If you ask me, this is awesome. High time, the perpetrators of terror are themselved terrorized. Hey didn't God say an Eye for an Eye? What? Now you want to go with Jesus and turn the other cheek? Make up your mind!
What can you expect from the
by mjau (not verified) on Fri Jun 26, 2009 01:33 PM PDTWhat can you expect from the mojahedin. If they realy wanted to show their disslike, they would have had a peaceful demonstration, just like our brothers and sisters in Iran. By entering the embassy, the just give the Iranians in Sweden a bad name.
This is too stupid
by Alborzi (not verified) on Fri Jun 26, 2009 12:58 PM PDTThe guys who work there are poor souls who needed the job. Its something to go protest but to attack the employee is just too stupid. Its kind of like Timothy McVeigh killing all those kids, because he did not like Federal government. It must have been some Shahi or Mojaheds, they are that stupid.
It's called DESPERATE
by alsoUS (not verified) on Fri Jun 26, 2009 12:56 PM PDTFred,
The Iranian people are desperate. And fed up with their BS.
Pretty brave actually to do such a thing in a Western world, knowing consequences.

Right or wrong?
by Anonymous-USA (not verified) on Fri Jun 26, 2009 12:07 PM PDTDon't forget that we are dealing with a wild and barbaric regime in Iran. What do you do when you are attacked by wild animals like the IRI thugs? Surrendering or fighting them back?
Ruinning a chance
by Fred on Fri Jun 26, 2009 11:39 AM PDTWhat is wrong with these people? The peaceful nature of Iranian demonstrations inside occupied Iran has to be copied to the T.
Any manifestation of violence only goes to validate the Islamist cutthroats’ lie that their violence was in reaction to violence. Where are all the cool heads? Don’t ruin a hard to come by chance for a counterproductive momentary gratification.
