LOL at L.A. Persian
by Nifky (not verified) on Thu Jun 04, 2009 09:38 AM PDTLOL that LA Persian thought it was a beautiful wedding. I guessed they were trying to be as LA persian as possible and they did a good job.

by Kishmish (not verified) on Thu Jun 04, 2009 07:06 AM PDTThe wedding video just totally cracked me up. I really enjoyed it. They guy has totally plucked eyebrows.... But other than that the rest of the wedding looks nice..
I know the whole thing is beyond garish etc. but give them a break, they live in that society so they are doing everything to go against it in their own way ....
oh , oh
by reality check (not verified) on Wed Jun 03, 2009 10:35 PM PDTi am reading all this comments, and i see nothing just negativity, if all of you posters are iranian, shame, really, why we cannot be happy for our own people.
These are two young people, who are going to start a new life, wish them the best, every person is unique, there is nothing takcy about them.
iranian bunch of khareji parast, i guess, since invasion of mougl turk and arab, this notion happened among iranian, that is why i never see among any other nation, people put each other down like iranian do, seriously.

Iranians are tacky
by Anonymoses on Wed Jun 03, 2009 05:49 PM PDTGuys, seriously... We're ALL tacky... ever been to a persian party? or for that matter on a street in Tehran? The guys' tacky hair gel+tacky cologne+tacky shirts/jeans+tacky hair+tacky eyebrows and the girls are tacky up and down... even wearing the most expensive shit, they still make everything look 10x less classy. I've had many khareji friends comment on how tacky Iranian events are, yet they love them nonetheless.
Maybe we'll never have a Jackie O but... ACCEPT YOUR TACKINESS. EMBRACEEEE IT. ;)

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Groom
by I (not verified) on Wed Jun 03, 2009 10:24 AM PDTHis willingness to have his spouse and potentially the mother of his children dressed and portrayed as she was in front of friends and family speaks volumes of his lack of judgement and intentions.
I think he regards this as a short term "hul-koni" and not a long lasting marriage.
I do agree with most of the
by Anonymous55 (not verified) on Wed Jun 03, 2009 08:37 AM PDTI do agree with most of the comments about the bride and her garish appearance. What surprises me is why are we not looking a bit more at 'aghayeh damad'? His 'band abroo' has probably taken as much time as the bride and he is rather 'javad' in mannerism. As usual we are discriminating against the female gender whereas the guy, if not worse, is as bad as the lady. Anyway hope they have a happy life post-war paint days.
No Originality Whatsoever
by Whatever (not verified) on Wed Jun 03, 2009 06:46 AM PDTThey all look the same. Every single Iranian wedding. There is not one ounce of original thinking. WHY, WHY, WHY do these beautiful girls insist on dyeing their gorgeous dark hair some hideous shade of platinum blonde? Do they all go to the same makeup artist? When will they learn that if a little is good, a lot is not necessarily better? Especially when it comes to makeup. This is about the sleeziest yet.
This is an example of a
by ProudIranian (not verified) on Wed Jun 03, 2009 05:59 AM PDTThis is an example of a pretty Iranian girl who has made herself look extremely ugly with 10 kg of makeup, fake blonde hair and a cheap looking bridal dress that looks like a belly dancer's outfit.
I don't get why these olive skinned Iranian girls like to dye their hair blonde... it looks sooo tacky!!! Not to mention the supposedly "sexy" bridal dress style (big turn off). You dont see western women dressed like that on their wedding day.
What happened to Iran? People used to be so stylish back in the 1970s now they look like a bunch of dahatis! Is it the sanctions or the IRi that has made people so tacky?

quran on the sofreye aghd1
by no one (not verified) on Wed Jun 03, 2009 01:50 AM PDTDear Kaveh,
persians were always a very tolerant people. our Traditions can be adapted by all peoples. So what ever your religion, you place your holy book on the sofreye aghd. But since the bloody safavians ordered 12-Imam shiá as our reliogion, the people place that terrorist hand bokk as the holy book. Be good sports an wish them well.
Why they put Quran on the sofreh Aghed?
by Anonymous-kaveh (not verified) on Tue Jun 02, 2009 07:17 PM PDTQuran is a bloody book and does not go with the wedding party.

Vah, Vah
by I (not verified) on Tue Jun 02, 2009 04:46 PM PDTWhy do Iranian brides have to wear so much make-up? They look like Elvira at best and otherwise like porn stars with those eye liners, lip liner, high eyebrows and shinny eye shadows.
They would look 10x better if they wore less makeup and put on a genuine smile.
