Dear "LOL",
by MiNeum71 on Fri Jun 05, 2009 09:51 AM PDTThere is something between dream and disillusion, this is called hope. Without hope you can blow your brain out. Maybe Mousavi turns out worse than Ahmadinejad, maybe he will be the worst failure of the IRI ever. At least I have tried, and then I will try again, and again, until it works out someday.
I have confidence in a better future.

Of course in Abarmard's case, he not only takes them for reality himself but also demands others to do so as well ... lol

dear hateiri
by hamsade ghadimi on Fri Jun 05, 2009 07:26 AM PDTwell said. those who resort to name calling and admit to it, don't speak from a vantage point of reason. as we like to say "kam avordand". those who resort to name calling and do not admit to it, need to view their track record and realize that not only "kam miavarand" but need to practice honesty.
i have friends with a wide range of political views. we all discuss matters with civility, and we have learned to respectfully disagree. the rudeness that you're referring to may be an internet phenomenon where people tend to feel emotionally more distant to a faceless debator; nonetheless, it reveals a truer aspect of their character.
Dear "HateIRI",
by MiNeum71 on Fri Jun 05, 2009 06:42 AM PDTWriting MiNeum71, 1L and other IRI supporters associates me with a group, which I don't belong to, and this is an insult which nobody is allowed to do. And if you have had knowledge and good manners, you woudn't have done this.
And for sure the LAST thing we need is a nationalist leader, we had two of them between 1941 and 1989, later on one between 2005 and 2009, they destroyed Iran.
By the way, hate is weakness revealed in apparent strength.
Why don't Iranian listen to

Coward yes I am for not been there to defend Baha'is, Jews, Womenand other Iranian minorities who been harassed constantly by the fascist regimeof Iran.
Traitor, yes I am to the Iranian people. For not been there for them when they need me.
Stupid, all the time it is one my greatest qualities that is why Iam constantly trying to learn.
As far as to vote or not to vote, no one here is suggesting doingeither. Everyone has their opinion let us be civilized and practice to respectone another opinion without calling names. You can disagree but don’t callsomeone coward since you don’t know them.
Let us go back 12 years. Let us rewind the history to 1997. Historyand very recent one has thought us that this regime can't be trusted either ifa reformer represents them or a conservative.
Now I am very hopeful it clearly shows that people are eager forchange, they are yearning for change. They are ready to go out there and makethat change.
I am actually very excited about the fact that the majority areseeking for that wind of change.
But what is needed is an honest, trustworthy, visionary andnationalist leader, someone who loves Iran and Iranian people.
This is the time that the oppositions must unite and produce thatleader for the common cause to give Iranian people another option or anotherchoice.

What new phenomenon, what new beginning:
1979 (IRI revolution), 1997 (Khatami's Revolution), who are you guys kidding.
The problem with you Iranian is you forget so quickly and don't want to go back and study and read.
I used to hear the same comments, same news headline during Khatami's election:
Young People, Change, Freedom, Democracy
What happend? 12 years later we are still in the same mess and more mess!
Khatami promised to young people more freedom, more jobs and he was all about open dialogs.
He was on Charles Rose's PBS show several time and spoke about opening Iran to outside world.
Then 1999 student uprising, 1000 of student murederd, beaten, kicked out of unversities, their dreams shattered. All under hope and pretext of Khatami's more social freedom, freedom of Expression.
Khatami and his administration did nothing. He actually criticized the students and called them anarchist. He sided with the Basijis and favored the revolutionary guard.
Please let us stop fooling ourselves and let us at least we who live abroad be more open minded and be honest.
IRI regime is fascist, dictatorial regime, either Ahmadinejad or Mousavi they are from the same pile of .....

As long as sultan sayad Ali Khamaneie is the suprem leader, the president of Iran wont have political power and as always has nothing to say. to all negative ones who live abroad. specially those who thing they own the world cuz they have DSL or they can judge those iran.
I prefer not to turn TV on and have an idiot represent Iran and trash talk the entire world.
It is simple either Ahmadi or Mosavi. and those who don't vote basicly dont care about Iran. its as simple as that.
The reality is the winner will represent Iran and Iranians for the next 4yrs.

Secondly, when push comes to shove, your balls are likely to hide in your abdominal cavity out of pure fear. That's assuming they've actually dropped in the first place.
Lastly, "throw what you have"? What is it that you have to throw? Freedom? Openness? Fairness? Equality? Personal liberty?
Working with what you got? Dude, what you have amounts to jack shit. These people who are out in the streets are realizing that. They're the ones with the balls you covet.
Yeah, I'm here. Your point? Why don't you show the rest of the class which one is you in these videos?
That's what I thought.
My hope is that when they are disappointed (and believe me, they will be) from the fact that even if Moussavi wins it will just be the "same dog with different fleas" they won't give up and be content to "work with what they got".

So topple what? We are working with what we got. Got balls? come here and talk otherwise sit a side and enjoy the ride for free.
You want us to throw what we have, send our country to uncertainty so if successful you'll come and visit otherwise you remain there? No dude, we live here and don't have the luxury of having a dual citizenship.
I wonder
by Kaveh Nouraee on Thu Jun 04, 2009 01:42 PM PDTwhat will they do when they realize that nothing will change, even if the monkey loses.
Changing one president for another is akin to painting a building that has been condemned.
