My Iranian of the Day is Niki Tehranchi. No, not me. I just use this as a pseudonym. Have been for years. Years before I realized there is actually a real Niki Tehranchi out there. And get this, she is also an attorney, also went to law school in New York, also moved to Los Angeles and she is also a culinary fan.. What a coincidence huh? She actually has her own culinary school in Los Angeles. D'ya think I should join? :o) Good luck to the real Niki Tehranchi!!!
"After practicing law for a few years, Niki decided to follow her passion for cooking and went to culinary school. She received her culinary training at Kitchen Academy in West Hollywood (now called California School of Culinary Arts Hollywood), and loved every minute of it! She’s had a major love for cooking since she was a kid, and remembers cooking crepes for her family and reading cookbooks as a child. She loves to cook, entertain, and teach…and her mission was to combine all three with the opening of her business. She started EATZ with the goal of giving each student a truly hands-on cooking experience. Not only does she want everyone to cook as much as possible during class, she also wants to bring the joy of cooking to the classroom by encouraging her students to experiment and have fun with the cooking process. Come meet her at EATZ and awaken your inner chef!">>> eatzla.com

Good for her!
by IRANdokht on Thu Mar 26, 2009 02:41 PM PDTA couple of years ago I decided that I was tired of working with electronics and wanted to do what I liked and meet real people and create something with my own hands etc...
I even registered at a very reputable French culinary school and paid the initial fee. They interviewed me and took me to a tour of the facilities but I quickly realized that I'd rather cook for fun.
I give Niki a lot of credit for changing career path and making it a complete success. Well done!
and thanks Niki for introducing your namesake ;-)
