My least favorite part of my dance career, as a student and now as a teacher, was improvisation. I always felt *stuck* and put on the spot to come up with choreography to go across the floor. Ballet is so structured, first in class, and then working with choreographers, that I needed someone, anyone to tell me what to do, what foot to put first, etc...
