Much better now
by statira on Mon Nov 30, 2009 09:07 AM PSTShe is a beautiful girl, what she needs, is just a little makeup, and throw that lachak away. In Hollywood looks is everything. She needs to concentrate more on that.

Are you in "Exile", Mr. Payam?
by farokh2000 on Mon Nov 30, 2009 07:35 AM PSTAre you speaking for yourself Mr Payam, or you don't know what the term "Exile" means?
I am sure not every Iranian who lives outside of Iran is in "Exile".
I am sorry to hear that you are though.
Best of luck.
She was at an Iranian party in Los Angeles
by American Dream on Mon Nov 30, 2009 06:29 AM PSTI have a friend in Los Angeles who was at a party that was attended by GolShifteh Farahani. She said Golshifteh is so full of sh*t. All Golshifteh wants to do is talk about is herself. After her movie "body of lies" with Leonardo DiCaprio she never had another film that made it. She is probably getting bored being in the west and wants to go back to Iran.
Why did she jump at the opportunity at making a movie with Leonardo DiCaprio? In Iran after Titanic came out every male was wearing a T-Shirt of Mr. DiCaprio. Mr. DiCaprio was larger than life. In America, that was hardly the case. Mr. DiCaprio was snubbed at that Oscar's that year for the movie Titanic.
Ms. Farahani probably thought her career was set with such a movie. It is not that easy in Hollywood.
Even Arnold Schwarzenegger left Hollywood for other stuff.
What will happen if Ms. Farahani returns to Iran?
"Reprisal" is an odd term to use. Reprisal usually refers to physical bodily damage. That just won't happen to Ms. Farahani.
Thespians who acted in movies before the revolution lived in Iran after the revolution for decades. Gogoosh and Fardin are 2 examples. Some actors like Layla Forohar's father even acted in movies after the revolution.
The only thing that Ms. Farahani will probably be banned from is Iranian Cinema. And even that has a solution. She can return to Iran, get a divorce from her husband and become a temporary wife, seegheh mo'va'ghat for parliament speaker Larijani, President Ahmadinejad and Spiritual leader Ayat'Allah Seyed Ali Khamenei. How do you think Gogoosh got a green light to leave the country years ago?
There are other things to do in Iran rather than act. Fardin opened a bakery and a rug store.
It appears that Voice of America and BBC in Persian have run out of material.
Let us not forget everything is sacred.
Sweet!
