It is simple

if Iran had a pro western government then westerners (or more correctly politicians);

- Could not have sufficient excuses to do what they wanted to do in middle east,

- Had to give friendly loans.

- Had to do better business deals which in turn would reduce their profit,

- Had to buy oil for higher price.

- Could sell less arms,

- Muslems would not be terrorists

And finally their life would not be so interesting if there were not mullahs in Iran. Privately they prefer this IRI.

ALSO another possibility is that they may not even be able to change Iran.
