Just a few points about your comment:

1.  She is an athlete, and an Olympics hopeful at that.  Do you comprehend the significance of that accomplishment?  Should I remind you that she is not an actress or a lingerie model?

2.  She is a young girl, only 17 years old.

3.  "She is cute" and "a turn off" are hardly appropriate words with which to address the accomplishments and dreams of a young female athlete who is young enough to easily be your daughter.

Your comment was tasteless and inappropriate.
