T.J. Houshmandzadeh

Scores two touchdowns in Seattle Seahawks crushing victory

SportsYakima -- T.J. Houshmandzadeh doesn’t want to sound cocky, but he’s going to sound cocky. He just enjoyed the best of his five games as a Seahawk, scored his first two touchdowns in Seattle, caught enough passes to feel involved in the offense finally, and, well, this is what he’s been screaming he could do. The only thing different about Sunday is that, at last, we saw it and listened. His words have been validated. To celebrate, Houshmandzadeh smirked and shrugged. “I can do this every game, man,” the brash wide receiver says. “Not to be cocky or nothing, but I can, man. It’s like, if you throw me the ball, I’m going to catch it.” He doesn’t want to sound cocky, but he’s going to sound cocky. “This is what I do,” he says. “I stop on a dime when guys can’t stop on dimes.” >>>

Kaveh...

I am here to stay.

You are going to have to get used to it!

Everything is sacred...

especially the American Dream!

Contradictions?

by Kaveh Nouraee on

Are there any contradictions to my written observations about you?

No.

Just do everyone a favor: Make like a kidney stone and piss off.

American Dream

Kaveh Nouraee, you are sick

by American Dream on

If you think that I am sick, you must be a loon for even entertaining my comments.

You write that I bring nothing to the subject matter yet you go on to say that everyone knows the information I am writing about as a fact, even a 2nd grader.  Bringing something that everybody knows is better than bringing nothing at all.  Which is what you do.

Your writing is filled with contradictions.

You are very silly to say the least and illogical.

I don't know why America gave you a green card, someone must have fallen asleep at the wheel at the I.N.S.

As an American born native citizen I believe that you should be shipped back to Ayat'Allah Khamenei land as soon as possible.

Kaveh, this clip is for you:

Kaveh Nouraee

Dreamer, you are sick person who needs help

by Kaveh Nouraee on

Your posts consist of either links to YouTube videos or of items that were lifted from Wikipedia.

You have offered absolutely nothing of any substance, and certainly nothing that even remotely borders on intelligent discussion.

The only thing you have to offer on the subject of T.J. Houshmandzadeh is:

A) he is a "black American"

B) that he can apply for an Iranian passport, become Iranian citizen and become Grand Ayatollah

C) cursory data concerning American history vis-a-vis blacks....basic facts that any school age child already knows, and data that has absolutely nothing to do with the subject matter here

D) your sick habit of making patently stupid and false accusations, in this case claiming that I am disrespecting T.J. Houshmandzadeh, and/or blacks, or that I am "hiding his race".

Let's address each of these issues you have, shall we?

A) Being a "black American" is not what this was ever about, except perhaps to you and your troubled mind, as it is you that took Houshmandzadeh's accomplishments on the field and took it upon yourself to manufacture this racial component that you are so obsessed with, both here and on the thread about the actress on Law & Order UK.

B) His being eligible for a passport or citizenship plays no role in his achievements on the field. So why bring it up? Are you that desperate for attention?

C) No one is interested in your worthless "history lessons". You can't teach anyone anything new here. I, for one, am quite confident that my knowledge of American history surpasses yours exponentially.

D) You still have not provided any proof that I have disrespected either T.J. Houshmandzadeh, blacks, or that I am "hiding his race".

Fact: Touraj Houshmandzadeh is one of approximately 1,700 people in a country of 300 million that is a professional football player. I have a ton of respect for that and for his accomplishment.

And absolutely none for warped individuals like yourself.

You do nothing but make these stupid statements, showcasing human ignorance at its pinnacle.

You are like a broken toilet. You make annoying noises, waste precious resources and are just plain full of shit.

Dude, you are the classic delusional narcissist.

no one said his race has anything to do with his skills as an athlete.

One thing is for sure, he is a black American.

If you don't like it then go back to Iran and live with Ayat'Allah Khamenei.

Matter at hand?

by Kaveh Nouraee on

T.J. Houshmandzadeh is a professional football player.

Period. End of Sentence.

Being part black or part Iranian plays absolutely no part in his measuring his skills and abilities as a professional football player.

None. Zero. Do you get it?

Hiding his race? Your ideology is moronic, to say the least. The only hiding that is going on around here is you hiding your racism by making it a factor in his accomplishments on the field. You diminish his accomplishments as a professional athlete when you bring his ethnicity into it.

That makes YOU the racist.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh is a black American.

Blacks in America for some time were banned from sports.  There was a Civil War in America to abolish slavery.  There was a Civil Rights era to gain blacks equal treatment.  The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that segregation was wrong.

You are avoiding th matter at hand.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh is a black American.

He is a great athlete.

You are the racist due to the fact that you want to hide Mr. Houshmanzadeh's race.  What do you fear?

This is America.

Your ignorance, arrogance and narrow-mindedness apparently has no bounds.

First of all, provide proof that I'm "putting down the accomplishments of blacks in America".

Who is responsible for the accomplishment?

The person or the person's skin pigmentation?

When Tiger Woods plays golf, it is the man who is playing golf, not the man's race. When someone addresses the President, they say, "Mr. President", not Mr. Black President".

Thanks for showing everyone who reads your garbage how much of a racist you are. You saved me a lot of effort and time.

Iranian genetics?

by Iraniandudeee on

well, he doesn't look 100% Iranian, or even remotely Iranian, but seeing how Iranian dudes on average are 5'11 and seeing how tall he is, his Iranian dad was probabely a tall man.... So yes, iranian power plays a big part in his succes :)

American Dream

Kaveh Nouraee, what you say is just wrong

by American Dream on

Kaveh,

you are putting down the accomplishments of blacks in America.  People refer to President Obama as the first black American.  Tiger Woods was the first black golf champ.  If you have one parent that is black or part black in America, one is black.  That is the end of the story.

Let us all for once judge

by koorosh10 on

Let us all for once judge people based on what kind of people they are, not what race, religion or ethnicity they are. Are not we all the children of abraham after all? I personally do not know TJ or not even met him. But from what I see as a football fan, he seems like a nice classy man with great football skils. Let us wish him well. Although I hope one day he plays for my San Diago Chargers.

Kaveh Nouraee

1000.0000% of his skill comes from his being black?

by Kaveh Nouraee on

WHAT THE...... ?

Have you seen the names on the backs of these jerseys lately? It's starting to read more and more like names you might hear at a UN delegation.

Players in the NFL are coming from almost every ethnicity you can think of. And I'm not only referring to placekickers.

Skill has nothing to do with ethnicity, because many of these players were born or raised in places where American football is alien to them. They end up learning the sport here.

That being said, the comment regarding Touraj's character (keeping his father's name despite being abandoned by him) is one I agree with wholeheartedly.

And I think in part, because of his character, he will continue to have a great NFL career.

Iraniandudeee

Iranian of the day?

by Iraniandudeee on

I don't think half Iranians should be "Iranian of the day" if they have done nothing for Iran or Iranians anyways.

eroonman

Yeah right! He's Totally Iranian!

by eroonman on

Being a black football player in the NFL, has almost 0.000% to do with being half Iranian, than it does being a highly skilled black player. But let us not delude ourseves, 1000.0000% of his skill comes from his being black.

Which is fantastic for black people.

And nothing for us to crow about.

In fact we should be ahsamed, that one of us would abandon his family, while the son continues to honor his father's name. Shows a lot more about Turaj's character than ours.

"He is named after his father, a native
Iranian, who left his
family and returned to Iran in the mid-1980's. Houshmandzadeh says he
recalls nothing of his biological father and knows only what he
looks like from photographs. Despite being raised by his mother, he
took on his father's surname rather than his mother's, which is Johnson." - Source

I personally don't think

by Iraniandudeee on

It's not really the best choice to have a mixed marriage (though that's your own choce) most of these multi-cultural marriages end in failure. obviously if you and your partner share a more similar culture means that you share the same values, you'll get along better ad understand eachother easier, making the marriage healthier and lasting longer.

This is my personal experience, from what i've seen in real life and dated.

I personally think it is

by koorosh10 on

I personally think it is great that there are so many Iranian men and women marrying outside their race and religion. Genetically, the children of multiracial marriages are healthier and better looking. They also have a more tolerance level of acceptance toward other people that are different from them.

Iraniandudeee

American dream

by Iraniandudeee on

Actually, usually the father is Iranian and mother non-Iranian, white American or black..... You see alot more Iranian men marrying outside their race than Iranian women.

It has to do with culture, and also the fact that there are more Iranian men abroad (especially in the u.s) than women.

Though generally, Iranians look down upon marrying outside their group, whether you're a man or women in the community... trust me, I'm Iranian and I see these things with my own two eyes.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh

by American Dream on

There are a lot of mixed race couples in the Iranian community in the United States and Western Europe.  Houshmanzadeh is one example.  His father is Iranian.  Usually the female is Iranian and the father is a black American.  The Amount of couples who are Black American males with Iranian females is more than Iranian males with Iranian females.  A sociologica term has been created refering to the offspring of these indiviadual as Afro-Iranian Americans.  Interesting to note since the Iranian Constitution since 1906 grants citizenship to people whose father is Iranian these individuals with non-Iranian father's can not be granted Iranian citizenship.   Yet, Houshmanzadeh can walk into the office of the Iranian interests section in Washington D.C. and be granted an Iranian passport and citizenship.  Houshmanzadeh can even enroll in a seminary school in Qom and become a grand Ayat'Allah and become a future Spiritual leader of 70 million Iranians.
