I have no opinion on this matter...

But an observation....

The people of Iran were RAPED by an illegitimate government and ALL AVENUES of civil discourse have been blocked by government officials who have power and they intend to hang on to the power in the face of BOTH OVERWHELMING INTERNATIONAL AND DOMESTIC opposition

Furthermore I do not endorse violence in any manner to force political change..  If you want to blame the CIA or others as the responsible parties for the attack To me it sounds as if you agree with the IRI's conclusions...  But then again the IRI itself could have staged the attack to divert the attention from their own shortcomings  ....

Desperate people will use desperate measures to maintain power...

I totally disagree with Fareed Zakaria

for saying that it was an Iranian who did the recent suicide bombing in Baluchistan, in opposition to IRI regime.

He fisrt says suicide attacks are just not part of Iranian style but then alludes to this as a fact, reasoning opposition to IRI as the motive for this suicide attack as being of Iranian origin.

He is totally off the mark. This is a Wahabi Sunni style v, Shiite Iran with US/UK taking advantage of this and as such is far from any Iranian style of opposition. Iranians might resort to killing but they will not do so by killing themselves unless it is in a war front, kamikazi style but not attacking a civilian site.

"  Colonel Sam Gardner, a retired US Air Force commander, argued in a
study last year that such clandestine activities only made the regime
more paranoid and distrustful of the veracity of a diplomatic approach.
“It is bad policy and it is dangerous,” he wrote in October 2008."

I am no fan of IRI but Fareed Zakaria needs to understand the politics of the region. His intention is admirable but his conclusion is off the mark.

Well done Fareed

by IRANdokht on

It's great to know that Maziar made it back home for the birth of his child, but we can't forget all those who are still in prison and especially the ones who are convicted.

I wish more journalists and political analysts would speak up like Fareed Zakaria has been doing.

Thank you for the video clip
