I don't get it

by bachenavvab on

It is a fact that the 1953 coup happened by the CIA and removed our chance of a democratic system.  It is also a fact that the western leaders in the Guadeloupe Conference determined the Iranian regime was to change to an Islamic Republic and tossed Iran back to the dark ages.

Here is what I don't get.  Why some of us Iranians are still disillusioned about the west and are still looking to them to bring democracy and freedom to Iran, which goes against (their perception of) their interests.   These people even go as far as welcoming air attacks.  Frustration is one thing, but bombing innocent civilians?  I am sure there are those who see a red, white and blue gravy train, but what about others?  I just don't understand it.

American Dream

It was a given that the Shah would fall from power

by American Dream on

The CIA is not saying anything new.  In 1953 a lot of people in the world new the Shah was a dead man.  The American government propped up a dead man walking.  In 1925 the British propped up a dead man walking by the name of Reza Khan.  In the end they both died in exile in Africa.  That is the end of the story.  The Pahlavi dynasty was one big joke.  The monarchy in Iran was one big joke.  The theocracy in Iran today is propped up by the west due to the fact that there is no viable alternative for them.

Now We even know Speedy Gonzales predicted the Fall of the Shah back in 1971 ...

Just when all the World Leaders were rushing to the Tents in Persepolis to Kiss the Shah's hand ? Now if he had said 1973 when the Oil Crisis started he would have some credibility ... But 71 ?

N'IMPORTE QUOI ! ...

My Only Question is Where did he get that Red Tan on his Nose ? ...

I bet it was the Sylvester The SAVAKI who pinched it with tweezers each time he lied !

Carter Supported Khomeini

by Hamid Y. Javanbakht on

The CIA, and whoever owns them, probably still have some influence on Iran, even after the revolution.

During his Presidency, Jimmy Carter didn’t only abandon support for the Shah for his human rights violations. He also gave support to Khomeini. A Former Naval intelligence offer and CIA agent for the Carter administration told Mike evens that Carter gave Khomeini checks when he was in France [it's in page 14 of Mike Evan's book "Jimmy Carter The Liberal Left and World Chaos" and the CIA agent decided to remain anonymous]. In fact, the CIA agent was involved in giving him the checks [it is in page 14 of that same book].

Carter administration officials also expressed support to Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. William Sulivan, Carter’s ambassador to Iran, said, “Khomeini is a Ghandi-like figure.”

You know for these so called CIA agents who are supposed to be living in the shadowiey underworld they seem to talk a lot! After that blabe mouth Robert bear, now this guy...

He says CIA agent predicted shah's down fall on 1971! how? was he nostradamous?  did he call pshychic on line? if these guys are so good, can they tell us when IRI will collaps? how come none of these people predicated collaps of soviet union? nor can they tell us what will happen in North korea, but they were so smart that in 1971 they could predict things in Iran. ya right.

American Dream

CIA involvement in controlling the Shah is a given

by American Dream on

All historians know that the Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi was a tool of the CIA.  The CIA could have sodomized the Shah from 1941 until 1979 and the Shah would be o.k. with that.  One of the most famouse quotes from, Jeane Kirkpatrick was that the "Shah was America's whore, we could do what ever we wanted with him and he could not say a damn thing, it is a pity he fell from power."  The Shah, like many 3rd world dictators was disposible like a disposible razor.  Use the Shah, when he becomes useless throw him away.  The Shah, like his father, Reza Khan were both exiled to Africa.  And that is Iranian history from 1925-1979.  One big waste of time.
