 You don't need to be a Jew to know about those Jewish practices which I offered as an example of what is viewed as 'weird' and 'repellent' by others, and how a lot of such prescriptions in Islam originate from Judaism! I am not muslim and my faith is a spiritual one. it is one of Iran`s oldest religions(beliefs) that is still alive and no one knows how many people in Iran are still practicing it. My faith has been persecuted throughout the history of Iran by get this "muslims" first by Arabs and then by fanatic muslims. By Your(Setareh Cheshmakzan) comment it brings back all the bitter memories of fanatic muslims(wether you are one or not) back to life for me again. Your comment is pretty much is designed so I "shut up" if it is not your religion then you have no say in it!!! then my question to you and all those that think alike is: If that so, then why do you(muslims) butt in others when you don`t know anything about other religions and faiths and beliefs systems? Islam, like Judaism and Christianity etc, is practiced differently at different times by different people.  My experience of Islam, having been brought up in a Muslim family, is one of compassion, bravery, justice and moral rectitude.  If anything you should be embarrassed by your Islamophobia.
