I would like to extend gratitude to Ostad Shajarian for having kept such a great part of our heritage alive, and his continued efforts to create music which combines the poetry of our enlightened ancestors, like Hafez, Baba Taher and Saadi.  His family is a great treasure for us.  I am glad to see Ms. Shajarian join her brother and father in the creation of eternal masterpieces that touch our hearts, and remind us of our shared human essence.

Is there any CD's or videos with good sound quality that one can purchase? Boy he has lots of hair. Is he really iranian?

Besides being Ostad in Iranian music, ostad Shajarian is a national hero as well. In my opinion, in music he is analogous to Gholamreza Takhti in wrestling. Kudos to him and his orchestra!

What a wonderful treat this is, at any time but especially this sobhe aval sobhi. Thanks GS jan!  I look forward to attending their events Live.  Ostaad has infinitely more of my respect now than ever, not because he turned Green, but because he has raised two passionately talented children.
