Indiana Gazette: Success always breeds imitation. On television, there are three varieties of ``CSI,'' three of ``Law & Order,'' and at least four of ``Real Housewives.'' But in the case of MTV's ``Jersey Shore,'' the original network is not the one doing the imitating. That did not stop some people from jumping to conclusions when casting calls for hard-partying Persian-Americans in Beverly Hills and blue-collar Red Sox fans in Boston were posted online this month. For the show he calls the ``Persian Version,'' casting director Doron Ofi wrote: ``If you are at least 21 years old, appear younger than 30, and are outrageous, outspoken and a proud Persian-American, then Doron Ofir Casting and 495 Productions, the team who brought you `Jersey Shore,' are looking for you!'' >>>

by makank on Mon Apr 26, 2010 08:44 PM PDTI hope this show never gets off the ground as it will give rise to even more of this type of nonesense in the persian community and is a disgrace to all Iranians worldwide.

by Sargord Pirouz on Mon Apr 26, 2010 08:30 PM PDTOne of my partially persian nephews is ex-USMC and even though he's quite unassuming in stature and demeanor, I guarantee you he'd wipe the floor with that SoCal wannabe.
But anyway, all of this behavior is heavily forced. Who actually has the patience (and stomach) to sit down and subject themselves to this kind of thing for 30 minutes plus?
