Unlike Iraq and Afghanistan US can not and will not attack Iran,
by Hoshang Targol on Tue Aug 17, 2010 08:30 AM PDTwhat both sides: the US and IR are after is obtaining concessions from each other to the maximum possible extent, and then commencing some kind of "normal" diplomatic realtions.
Hence the political sterility of groups in Iran and exile hoping to "free" Iran with Western military action: it will never happen. And where it has happened, Iraq and Afghanistan freedom is yet to be seen.
However the genuine people's movements in Iran ( women's movement, students, labor movement, youth, national/religious...minorities movements) dispalys no signs of leaving the Iranian social landscape anytime soon. Make no mistake about it, these are the same social movement that overthrow the Monarchy, and they/we 'll do the same to IR, this time without the mistakes of the past.
Any military action on Iran will have negative effects ten times worse than what's happening in Iraq and Afghanistan, for many logistical, geo-political and other reasons, all these saber rattelings are just that. Psychological warfare on both sides.
Perhaps it's time for all of us to focus on what really matters for the future of Iran and the key to its transformation into a democratic society: its contemporary social movements.
Keep your eyes on the prize.
They will not hesitate to use the Bomb.

The Iranian Government and these fanatic invasors oF Iran hate civilization ,reason , beauty ,happiness and peace.Look what they have done to the people of Iran . They kill , hang , stone , torture , rape daily ,for 31 years. Innocent people , those who wish for freedom, democracy , peace and love. Be sure once they have the Bomb they will not hesitate to use it , any where. They love blood, torture , suffering and war. The world must stop these people. It´s nor Iraq. It´s real.

جهوده اونوخت در میاد میگه، "نه این پدر سوخته رو اگر ول کنم، منو میگیره زیر مشت و لگدش !!"

by Fatollah on Tue Aug 17, 2010 06:37 AM PDT1. "the threat Islamist Rapists pose to the world’s security"
come on now Fred, do you think we are really that stupid? is that why Saudi's made a $60 billion armament deal with US recently? because of a boogyman in the neighbourhood? And usually many more consultants and operators tag a long with that kind of deal(s), and the armament will be used agianst whom, do you think?
Who's a threat now Fred?
2. "their crime against humanity in Iran is no “neocon” boogeyman in the White House to blame anymore."
agree with you on this 110%.
Just because
by MRX1 on Tue Aug 17, 2010 06:06 AM PDTthere was an invation in Iraq, that doesn't mean there will be one in Iran. Reality is even if U.S wanted (They don't) there is not enough man power in U.S armed forces to do this.
Now, that doesn't prevent U.S from Bombing this garbage, nuclear power plant from by gone soviet era. Of course billions of dollars will vanish in the air over nightbut in the land of islam nabe mohammadi who cares.

by Fred on Tue Aug 17, 2010 04:53 AM PDTThe problem Islamists and lefties face in trying to whitewash the threat Islamist Rapists pose to the world’s security and their crime against humanity in Iran is no “neocon” boogeyman in the White House to blame anymore.
It is high time for theses lovelies to come out of their anti-American/Israeli cocoon and condemn IRR as the cause of the problem.
Regime change by Iranians for Iran and Iranians is the only available option not these nonsensical video montages.
