In a country where the most savage animals and beasts (Basiji and Pasdar) roam the streets freely and do what they want to the people, why shouldn't a lion do the same?

After all lion is the "king of the jungle" and therefore should do whatever it wants in the Jungle of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Lions, like most wild animals can snap in a moment and go after the people or anything that looks threatening to them. But, besides that, they should be out there in the wild chasing zebras and looking for mates! This looks so wrong.

By the looks of it, It seems all safe and it also seems as if a big portion of pedestrians/business owners know what is going on, so i don't know where you get this infamous devil-may-care mentality thing from.

"Wild" is such a stretch in this particular case, it is as tame as it can be and is enjoying a nice cold shower!

 Of course there is always a tiny percentage that something might go wrong in any profession and leads to a disaster. So, there is a reason why people call this stereotyping and was it REALLY the reason you left iran? I mean you had it all nice and shiny and good and this was all that was bugging you?!!

Idiots

Some may call it stereotyping, but this is why I left Iran. There is this devil-may-care mentality in some Iranians that not only they risk their own well being, but to the same to other innocent  bystanders. There is a child in this video, and the WILD animal is not even on a leash! Let alone the poor animal itself being put in that position.

I remember a few years ago video of a traveling circus lion in Shomal having grabbed his trainer in the cage. If anybody can locate may want to link it here. Thanks.

During the 1940's, I had a great uncle that kept a Persian Panther as a pet. (The uncle was adopted by my great grandfather.) He used a chain for a collar and leash, and was notorious for taking the panther out for walks across Tehran.
