I don't see any discussion of why we have become such a "bad-bakht mellat".  instead a lot of jokes and smart ass comments.  we can all agree that is not Islam;  in fact it is "harram" do harm your body like this;  self inflicted pain and suffering is clearly against Islam;  It is part of our backward culture which in some respects takes a back seat to the arab culture.  i want to see some honest discussion;  why do we do things like that?  this is represents so many people in Iran, it is not a single act by an idiot; that is why it is important for us to understand the roots of these ideas.  I deeply believe that both our Iranian culture rooted in zorastorism and also the true teachings of the prophet of Islam are very advanced and good;  but we have ended up with this culture and this regime???? whY?? i don't understand??? how can people be so "nafahm" as to believe that "hossein" is enjoying these retarded acts so much that it will actualy grant their wishes... come on people, this is beyond religion and rationalism; this is pure human stupidity!!!!!!
