Separation
by hirre on Tue Dec 28, 2010 06:40 AM PSTPlease separate arts from politics... Just because you are an iranian doesn't mean you have to take an official stand against the regime every chance you got. Some artists take a stand, some don't, but 99,99999 % of all iranian artists don't like this regime, even if they don't sing/write/paint about it...
Most artists just want to "do their own thing", let's keep it at that level... We have too many political iranians that do a good job, even political singers! Even googoosh have a couple of political songs, a recent one: "man hamoon iranam"...

"Heart" In & "Mind" Out
by Demo on Mon Dec 27, 2010 11:51 PM PSTSuch a wonderful world we had if everything "Publically" out there had their "true" meanings on its faces!!! Wish it was such but it is not. Did not it take 31 years, for instance, to see the true faces of some so called "Angels" among our own people? Is not it the "heart" which overcomes the "mind" to see the "real" character of an "imposter" most of the time? Just wonder.
PS. Pejman7, Demo, & Tavana are three separate entities for sure but their hearts are connected perhaps!!! Wink. Wink. LOL but BINA and SHE-NAVA!!!
Dear Demo, First od all
by Arthimis on Mon Dec 27, 2010 10:59 PM PSTDear Demo, First od all Thank you for your kind and civilized response... But I was talking about "OUR DEFIANCE..." out in real physical public like Googoosh, not from behind the safety and convinience of our keyboards daadaash! LOL :D but seriously, I have no problem with you or anyone personally here. I just stand for
honesty and fairness and can't stand unfair judgements, accusations,
labeling and bashing of anyone without proof that they have in fact done
things wrong against humanity! And in Googoosh's case unlike to the some in that list you mentioned above, Googoosh has done
nothing wrong to you, me and our people! In fact she has suffered as human being, banned artist and 'mamnuol khoorooj" (God i hate even the sound of it...) for many years and when she finally left for her freedom, she
only turned once again to Iranians and gave Iran them great gifts with her music and art and above that she proved her honest "PUBLIC DEFIANCE" against I.R.(live on pysical stage!!!) Au
Contraire to your false & unfair labelings of her! Peace out.
PS. Khoodemoonimaa, vali neveshtanet yek coochooloo shabieh "Tavana" st !!! (wink, wink) ay kalak!! lol :D

"Da-yeh" Preference over the "Mom"
by Demo on Mon Dec 27, 2010 09:45 PM PSTPublic defiance of IRI???? Perhaps my comments of over past 2 years have sufficiently been reflective my solid standing against the regime in our motherland. No intention to make mockery of GOOGOOSH's talents. NO. NO. NO. However to my strong belief as that of Pejman's she is just full of it (it as "Deception")!!! The same take with other long time IRI collaborators' as: Mr. Shajarian, Mr. Eftekhari, Mr. Kia Rostami, Mrs. Sima Bina, and a few of the same "Chamelions Types" personalities regardless of their talents & their popularities!! All personal opinions of course with the due respect & with no hard feelings for their fans!!!

I disagree with your comment
by Arthimis on Mon Dec 27, 2010 04:59 PM PSTI disagree with your comment here Mr. Abarmard! Any Iranian with an ounce of conscience in fact is Thankful for her joke and got his/her money's worth for that joke alone......... Through out history around the globe, Many Artists who stood up for Truth and Human Rights have used their fame and popularity to stand for "Freedom and Justice" and "Googoosh is no exception! Christmas is a beautiful and peaceful celebration, but a little joke (serious jab) at the ugly face of tyranny is nothing short of being a true human and a patriot ! So Thank you Googoosh!! Dorood bar Sharf, Maraam va Shoja-atet!! As an Iranian man, I wish we had more Iranian men with "balls' like that, Maybe we would have never been in a miserable situation as a nation like that to begin with!!! Consciousness.................
Demo, Are you Pejman? If
by Arthimis on Mon Dec 27, 2010 04:41 PM PSTDemo, Are you Pejman? If not, write directly to me! I am sure Pejman is man enough to defend himself with an educated, respectful and civilized response! Mr./or MS. Demo, I'm not a die hard fan of Googoosh, believe me... But I respect her talent as one of the most popular singers/artists of Iran and also for her courage as an Iranian to defend Iran and Iranian rights on many occasions in the past... This clip here shows and proves her defiance against Tyranny and injustice and all those who have wronged Iran and Iranians!!!! So I respect her for that alone, if nothing else... Let me ask you a question please. Are you against the tyranny of I.R. and if so, have you ever had the courage to come out in open and defy I.R. in public??? Prove that "Demo" and I will respect you! Until then, well you know what I hope... Your mocking of "Googoosh" and her fans in such a low class way is an insult to majority of Iranians who love her for her art and courage as an Iranian woman against Islamic Republic. So there, Knock yourself out and talk about "Abgoosht" all you want! To True Iranians, That is more like your way of thinking and writing here.
Free Iran and Iranians.
What did people pay for
by Abarmard on Mon Dec 27, 2010 04:27 PM PSTTo hear some happy songs from Googoosh. It's unfair to want her taking a position while servicing the crowd who have come to sing and dance and be merry. This is not the time nor the place.
Performing at a high level like Googoosh is difficult
by Anahid Hojjati on Mon Dec 27, 2010 04:25 PM PSTCriticizing while you are eating your abgoosht is much easier.
A Joker's Defense
by Demo on Mon Dec 27, 2010 03:51 PM PST"Maybe she is afraid of being assassinated by Islamic Republic assassins!!! Like the ones who killed Farokhzad and Bakhtiar!!!!!"Oh, so Shivering!!!! Comparing the funny??? grama with 2 IRI's serious foes?? A Joker's Defese!!!!
And Maybe Pejman has the "wisdom" that many fossils "Goo-goolies Iranians" of Goosht-Koob, Owb-Ghoost & GooGoosh's era are devoid of!!!!
Pejman khan, Maybe she is
by Arthimis on Mon Dec 27, 2010 12:34 PM PSTPejman khan,
Maybe she is afraid of being assassinated by Islamic Republic assassins!!! Like the ones who killed Farokhzad and Bakhtiar!!!!! Maybe she knows that Iranians in the world have no real protection and security against the low lives Evil scumbags who are occupying our country and killing their oppositions!!!
So be careful when you make such assumptions and open judgments before really knowing what she really feels inside? You are not a fortune teller or mind reader, Are you? How would you like people passing out judgements like that on you and your character?? NOT fair, right?
The very fact that she uses her fame to get a simple message (joke) like that in open is more brave than anything people like you and me behind our keyboards have ever done!!!
Free Iran and Iranians.

by Arthimis on Mon Dec 27, 2010 12:13 PM PSTYou sound more like a typical Naa-Tavaan here! No body is perfect, but at least she has a kind of talent that has entertained people for over 40 years!!! Unlike you and the other hated Islamists around the world!!! Who cares about her personal life?? You? Nobody cares about your ignorant opinion and offensive comment here, trust me! If you want to criticize her art with a valid point and in a respectful manner, come back here and leave a comment, otherwise, keep quite because you are disrespecting 95% of Iranians who have loved her for so long! And you don't have the right to do that, NOT here on Iranian.com
PS. Her joke (unfortunate truth) about Ahmadinejad and Co. (Occypying Iran) is exactly what majority of Iranians feel deep down inside!! Inside and outside Iran!
"Deceptive" & More
by Tavana on Mon Dec 27, 2010 11:25 AM PSTWhat else could anybody expect from an old grandma with a lifetime of drugs addiction & and a lifetime of being used as a “tool” in the hands of her father & of her husbands?? Was not 20 years of living under the current Mafia regime & married to men like “Mahmood Ghorbani” & to her current spouse “Masoud Kimiaee” enough for her to become professionally “deceptive?”
PS: It is all but Pejman’s fault to attend the concert. Period.
She is awesome
by Naz on Mon Dec 27, 2010 11:12 AM PSTShe is the most real Iranian artist of all times, that's why she can reach and touch the heart of her audience, she sings so strong, and when on the stage nothing else matters, she puts all her heart and energy to the songs and transfer it right to the listeners, yet her sense of humor is unbelievable, bottom line she is the one and only!
I heard she had Khomanie's pic
by Parthianshot91 on Mon Dec 27, 2010 10:45 AM PSTIn her house, any truth to that?

by Anahid Hojjati on Mon Dec 27, 2010 08:35 AM PSTPejman, I changed title of my last comment to reflect the fact that it was about Googoosh's skills also. Don't forget that she is Iranian of the day and this thread is about her as millions think of her not just your opinion of her.

also the concert hall was almost empty with peoples standing out side........
let me take you to Karbala (if I may);!
Back in the summer of 1981 there was a Frank Zappa concert in Rome
30-40 min into the concert there were a crowdes of .... un ticketed peoples trying to get in and all of a sudden tear gas, riot police.....
He (Zappa) saw the comotions and stoped and asked the security to open the gate and let the peoples in to enjoy the show. Maziar
RE: Anahid
by Pejman7 on Mon Dec 27, 2010 07:53 AM PSTI have written any thing against her works? You have written this long message about her music, lyrics, video, etc, but I am not talking about them. It seems you have not read my comment carefully. My point is just one thing: "Deception".
Penjamn7
by tabriz_balasi on Mon Dec 27, 2010 07:19 AM PSTDon't judge and accuse other people. simply put, it is not good. you don't know whether googoosh cares about iran or doesn't. but you kinda assume that she does, just like i kinda assume that you do, and all of us do. iranians accuse each other easier than drinking water. googoosh has played a big role in our culture and she's a great singer and a muician. she can decide to behave any how see likes, people are very different, unless and untill you're them, you don't know them and can't judge them; unless they say or do something that is clearly wrong!! then you can take an action that is approperiate.
Googoosh is such a great entertainer, and has been for years
by Anahid Hojjati on Mon Dec 27, 2010 08:30 AM PSTPejman, just because Googoosh did not mention Latifi and couple other reasons, you are deciding that she does not care about Iran. I do not agree with your reasoning. I have to say that when I go to some concerts, there are singers who talk about couple issues like drugs and politics and I get bored and do not appreciate being lectured. Most of us know these political issues either better than singers and if we need to know more, there are more eligible people to talk about these issues.
I would like to mention that as entertainer, she has been outstanding for many decades and some of her songs have excellent lyrics. Because of quality of her work, great taranesarayan have written for her. I remember in 2000 when I went to her concert in Oakland, how impressed I was with quality of the lyrics in her songs. Also even though I was not a die-hard Googooshi like some other people growing up, you have to give credit where it is due. When I watch her videos from more than 35 years ago, they are still fun and her dancing and gestures still look beautiful and not old after all the videos I have seen from different singers from various countries.
RE: Maziar
by Pejman7 on Mon Dec 27, 2010 07:05 AM PSTMaziar, You did not read my message carefully. I was at the concert because I separate art and politics from eachother, but the media helped Googoosh so much in her career, both before and after the revolution. Now her bahvior is very unfortunate. I have no problem with her singing but I can not accept her deception.
ooh com on
by maziar 58 on Mon Dec 27, 2010 06:59 AM PSTpejman what was (your) reason to spend what ever euros for that night ?
I'm not against the fight for justice in our motherland BUT
An entertainer will be an entertainer and googoosh is loved by many for her talent in singing. Maziar
Googoosh's Deception
by Pejman7 on Mon Dec 27, 2010 06:43 AM PSTI was at the concert. I do not think she cares about Iran. That was the last night that some people were trying to prevent the execution of Mr Latifi, law student in Sanandaj prison. Persian-language websites and also International media were full of articles about him but Googoosh did not say anything about him.
Googoosh also did not want to do any interview to Persian media! She did not mention the terrible situation of people inside the country either and at the end of the show just said "Mokhlese shomaa, Googoosh... Nafasam az Nafase shomaast " (!!) it's just deception!
