Shah..., your whole country
by DelilahNY on Sat Dec 11, 2010 06:33 PM PSTis a confused soul. Which, some have argued, brought everything upon itself.
Just be grateful its bloggers could blog their confusion in Persian in Unicode all those years.
One of them!
by shahabshahab on Sat Dec 11, 2010 06:21 PM PSTAnyone who praises Ahmadninezhad is either one of them or should be one of them. They know he is not a revolutionary or freedom fighter. He is a confused soul who brought eveything upon himself.
Well, there you go.
by DelilahNY on Sat Dec 11, 2010 04:28 PM PSTI'd tried to say something before but my a/c'.s got some glitch, I couldn't post. I wanted to ask you if after the Sakineh episode two days ago, some of you hadn't learned to wait before drawing conclusion? Yes, he looks plump, and yes, he's also lost hair. Now suppose, just suppose, even the most cynical suggestion were true, that his family (who are wealthy) bought justice, and that 'daddy's boy' will now escape to Canada, or... Kenya...or...Katmandu....Do you realize what kind of public humilliation, what kind of a wound, that would be for a person like him? In such a situation, there is no 'escape'.
Buying justice after almost one year of having been in soitary with not a soul even knowing his whereabouts? Highest bail for shortest furlough? What kind of movie marquee is he being displayed on by the Regime's (or some faction') Horrorwood industry I tried to say a couple of days ago that no, he's not been the most tortured, nor has he been killed, nor will he probably be the longest imprisoned, of all these poitical prisoners. But due to the complexities of his case, as far as footballs go, he just might be the most used. In such a situation, there's no such thing as buying justice.
Wait, I was trying to post. Wait and see what happens. And that still holds.
He returned to jail
by ghalam-doon on Sat Dec 11, 2010 03:29 PM PSTCan't confirm, but apparently he returned to jail:

by statira on Sat Dec 11, 2010 03:24 PM PSTAre you comparing Derakhshan with your AlQaida terrorist brothers? Derakhshan was always neat while Talibani terrorists were always filthy and hairy. Guatanimo ke hichi, khoda ham nemitooneh een hezbolaheeha va alghaedeyeeha ra mesle ye adam dorosto hesabi koneh.

The Brain of Chicken
by Tavana on Sat Dec 11, 2010 01:58 PM PSTOnly a former "army man" with the "brain of a chicken" could compare IRI built "special prison with sauna & Jaquzi" with Gitmo prison where the "prisoners of an US imposed war" have been transferred there from their homeland handcuffed & in chains. Most have not been even charged with any crime after 10 years. The "truth" also really "bites" & name calling of like that of "MOOSIRvaPIAZ" is a clear example of that. Ghalam-doon could see the whole "game" the best. It seems others are like side "cheerleaders" facing the common crowds!!
He looks fit and in good
by Sargord Pirouz on Sat Dec 11, 2010 12:16 PM PSTHe looks fit and in good spirits. Certainly doesn't look like Guatanimo inmates when they're released.
Here's hoping things work out for him.
Tavana, I agree
by ghalam-doon on Sat Dec 11, 2010 12:10 PM PSTWhy should people like the ones you mentioned be treated any differently than the young Iranian men and women who were incarcerated, tortured and in some cases raped in Iranian prisons and nobody heard anything about them. I guess it pays to 1st of all have money and secondly be a hyphenated Iranian. In case of Hoder, I suggest we wait for at least a week before drawing our conclusions. If he did not return to prison and if he left the country, then we can put him in the same category as the people you mentioned.
.....
by yolanda on Sat Dec 11, 2010 12:07 PM PSTHe lost a lot of hair!

by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Sat Dec 11, 2010 12:04 PM PSTOnly hope and wish this for all other prisoner of coscience in Iran.

islamist injustice
by Roozbeh_Gilani on Sat Dec 11, 2010 11:59 AM PSTI am glad he is released and happy, no matter the circumstances, nobody deserves to be jailed for blogging. Otherwise I agree with Tavana and Bavafa, his release and circumstances around it only highlights the comical nature of this islamist so called "justice" system
"Personal business must yield to collective interest."
Welcome back !

Justice 4 "Sale"
by Tavana on Sat Dec 11, 2010 11:36 AM PSTHow in the world a convict with more than 19 years prison sentence has been "Temporarily Released???" Easy!!! He just signed his prepared "repentant conscript," paid the regime tons of cash & he is now on his way to Canada. Is not that a commom norm to buy justice in IRI? Did not the same thing happen with Haleh Esfandiari, Ali Shakeri, Isha Momeni, Roxana Saberi, Sara the Mountaineer, & many many alike? Soon expected watching King Hosein!!! on BBC, VOA, Larry King, and alike shows & on AIPAC's "Hero??? Awards Ceremony" to receive a $500K check similar with the one "Akbar the Great (Trator) Ganj" received. What a sham or a shame.
It is so good to see him out of prison with a smile on his face
by Bavafa on Sat Dec 11, 2010 11:26 AM PSTOnly hope and wish this for all other prisoner of coscience in Iran.
Mehrdad
He looks well...
by ghalam-doon on Sat Dec 11, 2010 11:13 AM PSTAll his teeth are intact and both he and his father (I assume) are smiling. But of course they might have cleaned him up before the release.
