How dare he say this nonsense?

(1) IRI is not a democracy - that is total bullshit, when you have candidates that are preselected, and pre-qualified and dis-qualified on "changing" grounds (many of which were former members of the majlis); and no international election monitoring agency is willing to certify the elections, and you find false ballots prevalent in so many places (on the side of the street, in pictures, etc.) - you just can't say Iran is a democracy; (2) When the "Supreme" leader is not even qualified to be an ayatollah to begin with and became an ayatollah overnight, with no rassallah, no relgioius standing ...and is not even accepted as a leader by other religious leaders... then clearly the government is not even constitional - or even Islamic; (3) Does this clown want to look at some photographs of tortured people, students ...

The whole point about protecting Human Rights - just like the a Democracy - is that you protect everyone's rights (not just a selected group's rights). Yes, in a country that protects Human rights you protect the rights of prisoner's too, yes of criminal's too! In a democracy you protect the rights of those you disagree with too!

Upside down logic

Actually Colonel Onion, protesting is protected both in the constitution of Iran and the US.  Of course in the IRI you can always protest in favour of Ayatollah dog and cat, but if you dare make a noise in defence of your rights (say the right to protest), you are committing treason and you and your family are dragged off to prison, raped, beaten, tortured and murdered.

Does one cry or laugh when Sargod_Piaz compares convicted felons in the US (i.e. rapists and murderers) to Iranian professors, lawyers, doctors, engineers, students (recipients of gold medals in international math and physics contests) and suggests that much like felons, these Iranians must not have human rights?

And Sadeq Larigani, head of Judiciary, is protecting many corrupted personalities close to Rafsanjani in Iran, including Rafsanjaniès son.
