Unfortunately the 70s all over the world was also a shallow period with a lot of "Open Sexual Manifestations" that was even a bit too much for the Free western Societies, let alone a Backwarded Iran plagued by deeply rooted Islamic culture amongst majority of Iranians unfortunately!!! Those poor people were so backwarded, they could not comprehend the meaning of Freedom and Democracy in general, let alone sexual freedom!!!

Making such superficial and low class movies back then was a big mistake that along with so many other mistakes by those who ran the show, made and lead Iranians to follow a Psycho path named Khomeini and his criminal gangs in such an ignorant way that has paralyzed Iran and Iranians for 31 years!!!

I wish Shah would have ordered more freedom of true culture , politics and thoughts to Iranians back then!!! I wish he would have made Khomeini's "Toozih Ol Masaael" Free and would make a program on Iranian radio and Television on that disgusting book written by a severly mentally disturbed man who genuis Iranians later followed and revolted for!!!! Maybe Iranians could see and hear the truth before and understand once and for all what kind of a psycho path/s they were going to follow.....!!!!!!!

I wish you wouldn't change the original text of your first post. This is too harsh. I wouldn't take side for that. I like Faramarz a lot and enjoy reading all his blogs and comments. They are really funny.

My remark was very general and since I consider Faramarz as a very intelligent and good friend, I preferred to share my opinion with him.

The last part of your comment was not very friendly, my dear. I wish you would  re-consider it.

BTW- From a literary critic point of view : the correct form is not "his bodies" but "his buddies" ...

Shourangiz Tabatabee, had one of the worse bodies among the actress of the time, and she was insisting to be considered as a sex bomb!

The traffic on the street was not for her, it was just for the taboo breaking, movies. Seeing semi-nude women was not free and available to everyone. The people of the North Iran, were used to see bikini women at the beach, but compared to the people of the central and even South of Iran, they were not the majority.

On the other note, I do understand you remark was only on the subject of a "so called sexy actress" but wish you consider Anahid's remark a bit more seriously. Personally I consider myself a fat woman, although other people don't agree. Fortunately I am above the sensitivity to this kind of  stupid critic, but always feel how other women (and men for that matter) could be offended by this kind of remarks.

Let's free ourselves from  the norms imposed on us by the TV and commercial media on that matter. I oppose myself to this stupid use of woman's body for the purpose of advertising everything, from the bikini to the chewing gum. Why the woman? Why the body, for that matters?

Actually when I first read your comment, it didn't bother me. I took it very casually. But after reading Anahid's remark, it made me think about that. Maybe we are wrong by taking this kind of remarks, very casual and normal.

The good thing about those times

The good thing about those times was that we had people in bikinis and also in chador.  No one forced anyone to dress a certain way.  But look at where we are today....

فیلمهای به خصوص سالهای ۵۰ نه داستان درست و حسابی‌ داشتند و نه محتوایی که چنگی بر دل‌ زند،سناریو‌ها آبگوشتی و کاراکتر‌ها با اندک باد هوایی دست خورده میشدند و با فشار سانسور وزارت فرهنگ..پاک و نابود ! قرار بر این بود که فیملهای ایرانی آن زمان به کسی‌ ایده ندهند،سینمای ایران بی‌ حاصل و سرزمینی شور و باتلاقی بود.

تنها شانس ما این بود که چند هنرپیشه زن زیبا داشتیم که موجب شاد خاطر شبهای رختخواب ما جوانان بودند.مردان هنرپیشه هم اگر سبیل پر پشت،ماشین آمریکائی در چنته داشتند..چند صباح معروف شهر میگشتند و کاسبی داش ناصر و بهروز خان کساد ! وگرنه باز خدا عمری به نسل جوان کارگردانان آن زمان دهد که گاه گداری مقاومت میکردند و فیلمهایشان را از زیر دست قیچی سانسور چیهای شاه پرست فراری میدادند.
