by maziar 58 on Fri Jan 29, 2010 10:10 PM PSTappeasement approach was a french leghnty discussion to show the level of intelectual of one to the others by means of logics.
In the Iran of 30's to keep in peace with the mollahs Dr. Mossadegh had no better way to keep calamity.
All are paying price for that appeasement in 32,in57 and even now look at the mollahs in 1388. Maziar

by Farah Rusta on Fri Jan 29, 2010 04:25 PM PSTI have written at length on this issue on this site and produced incontrovertible documented evidence, and no Mossadeghollahi has been able to show anything to the contrary. So I am not going to repeat myself all over again. Just suffice it to say that Mossadegh's relations with mullahs and their followers can simply be described as duplicitious.
On the one hand he would forge an appeasing alliance with the forefathers of today's hezbollahis and basijis meaning Fadaeiyaan Islam under the spritual leadership of Ayatollah Kashani (hence pardoning the murderer of his predecessor General Razm Ara, a member of the same terrorist group, to appease Kashani - later the head of the group, Navab Safavi, was also released from prison without trial) and on the other hand meeting representatives of the Bahaii community in Washington and giving them promises to protect their interests in Iran against the aggressions of same Islamic terrorists - promises never fulfilled.
Now lets hear what the apologists have to say.

What we really need...
by دکتر بعد از این on Fri Jan 29, 2010 03:29 PM PST"He is kind, intelligent, philosopher, thinker, politician"

Khatami is a Mullah
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Fri Jan 29, 2010 03:20 PM PSTAll Mullahs are sh**t. Khatami is just another among them. I will take Reza Pahlavi any time over Khatami. IRR is the problem; I do not trust any of its present or past leaders.
It will be the height of folly to overthrow AH just to replace him with Khatami!
Khatami is the greatest
by XerXes. on Fri Jan 29, 2010 01:18 PM PSTHe is kind, intelligent, philosopher, thinker, politician...Admire what we got right now and forget about worshiping the dead.
I don't care at all about Islam. I can't even do namaz, as I don't know the words. I don't care about it, for now I know one thing. Islamic Republic is a great system if those who grew healthy from it are allowed to lead, like Khatami and his followers. I hate the conservatives but I don't hate the Islamic Republic system. I hate Ahamadinejad e dayus, but I love Mousavi and his amazing wife. Those people from the system need to flourish so we can grow healthy.
That's what we need to focus on, not 100 years ago some king, queen, leader farted...Who cares. It's gone. Now we got amazing leaders that many are not noticing till they are lost (And we are left with leaders like Reza Shah Pahlavi, LEADER? get it)
Khomeini still pulls iranian strings
by gitdoun ver.2.0 on Fri Jan 29, 2010 11:59 AM PSTSee this is a very good example of Khomein's radical extremist bull$hit. Who the phuck is some ordinary human cleric to declare who is muslim or who is not muslim ??? Who the phuck is khomeini to declare who is patriot of iran and who isn't ??? And this man has a cult following !!!! This historian gives such title of lordship to khomeini that one would think he was a divine person !!! this is the root of the matter here. Khomeini's says his fanatical opinion and 10Million iranians worship it as Divine Law !!! This is the crux of the problem !!It is this brainwashed mentality that lead this historian to declare Mossadegh an Apostate because khomeini said so and it is this saaame brainwashed mentality that lead to the execution of 2 innocent protesters !!!

by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Fri Jan 29, 2010 10:30 AM PST1) IRR uses non Muslim as a supposed insult. I guess they don't know many of us take it as a compliment.
2) Here is the definition of Muslim by IRR:
Anyone with one iota of brain or free will is considered apostate. That is what makes the charge be such a joke. It is similar to the charge of Communist thrown around by Joe McCarthy in the 50s. It is stupid and ultimately self defeating. IRI will go away and take Islam with it.
Interesting
by MRX1 on Fri Jan 29, 2010 10:14 AM PSTCan IRR for once explain to every one what is definition of being Muslim or for that matter definition of being Iranian? Apparently 99% of people in Iran are neither Iranian or muslim!
Maybe and why not?
by Guilan on Fri Jan 29, 2010 09:46 AM PSTPeople loved and loves Mossadegh not for being muslem but because he loved his country.
And you? People of governement (arabs lovers), you are jealous and you pretend to be good muslem but nobody loves you. Arabs are also muslem like you. We don't want and need arabs' lovers governement but PARSI governement.

Why are these poeple so ugly
by Faramarz_Fateh on Fri Jan 29, 2010 07:46 AM PSTand dirty looking?
Mossadegh was in fact a Muslim but believed religion does not have a place in hokoomat. I don't know if he performed his namaz and roozeh but we know one thing for sure. He loved Iran and put it ahead of everything esle including Islam
He realized how backward and worthless Islam is
by mahmoudg on Fri Jan 29, 2010 06:59 AM PSTAll those years ago. Although i have no respect for Mossadegh, but on this matter, he was one notch better than the Mullahs.
Who cares
by XerXes. on Fri Jan 29, 2010 06:53 AM PSTThat was past. We can try to learn from it. Right now we have heros like Khatami and Mousavi that we can be proud of. And guess what, they are alive.

by hamsade ghadimi on Fri Jan 29, 2010 06:09 AM PSTislam is just a code word for these guys. anyone whose ideology doesn't fit into their raison d'etre is not a muslim. just as they never use the term revolution without the prefix islamic. even the non-islamists who participated in the revolution are considered irrelevant or mohareb according to these uneducated [fill in the blank]. do they consider anyone iranian or a national hero in the past millenia that did not contribute to the velayat vaghih?
He was even more a patriot than previously thought

Have you noticed.....
by Benyamin on Fri Jan 29, 2010 05:19 AM PSTThe IRI is no longer comparing the economy to that of the Shah time? Have you noticed that all of their efforts have been emphesized on Islam and Islam alone?
Let`s us compare; Mossadegh freed Iran`s wealth from stupid contracts that was sucking oil from Iran. The khomeini`s regime managed to disperse 300BIllions in only one year and on one seems to know where the money is. The economy is at its worse since ever and there is no war to blame it on, in fact there has been no war for about 20 years now. the poverty has grown more than the birth rate and inflations worse than ever. did you know that a kilo of meat in Iran dollar to dollar is more expensive than here?!!!!!!!!!
I don`t know what is it that the IRI is so proud of? what is it that they have accomplished? why are they acting as if it is their "god given right" to rule Iran? how much hate lives within them? what have Iranian people have done to these thugs?
Mossadegh was the greatest man all the way from Shah Abbas till now. And if he was not a muslim then that is another blow to the IRI since it took a "none muslim" to really free Iran and the Islamist ruined all of his accomplishments, he ruled for less than 2 years the have been rulling for 30 and we have 100000 of exucted youths and Mossadegh promoted respect and harmony.
MOSADEGH
by jasonrobardas on Fri Jan 29, 2010 05:11 AM PSTis and will always be our nationalist hero , his religion is irrelevent .
Is he historian or a Mullah wannabe?
by choghok on Fri Jan 29, 2010 04:57 AM PSTHow can a historian pass a verdict if a person is or is not a muslim? It is as if a mathematician would try to find what desease a person has.
A historians job is to try to find historic facts not pass judgments on peoples beliefs.
And then there were none...
by The Phantom Of The Opera on Fri Jan 29, 2010 04:45 AM PSTIt won't be long before they declare that Mohammad, himself, was not such a good muslim.
