Alleged Sargord: What kind of drugs are you on?

by mehdi2009 on

Alleged Sargord,

You must be on some kind heavy drugs, or the Soap that they washed your brain must have been really small as there is not much to be washed.

You said the large Pro-government rally proves that the regime still has a huge backing???!!!
What planet are you from? You must not have seen the large picture produced by IRIB (Murderous Regime's propaganda Arm) which clearly showed a huge EMPTY Space in an area with the capacity of 35,000 people where the Murderous regime's supposed followers were gathering. They also showed (by their own mistake) the buses which they had brought this HERD from the villages outside of Capital, Tehran.

If you want to spew the same garbage over and over again, at least do some homework before stating your tired nonsensical crap.

I give Mr. Jahanshah javid a great deal of credit to permit every one from right and left, Religious and Secular, pro and Anti Murderous Regime individuals to express their opinion on this marvelous Froum, which allows for the True Iranians to be distinguished from Murderous Regime's Apologists Merceneries such as yourself and your ilk.

The time is running out for you and your masters, and the day of reckoning is fast approaching.

Salutations to ALL True Sons and Daugthers of Iran.

If you don't like "rumors", there is an easy solution:

Allow a free press to cover the events. It will be very difficult to put out rumors in that case.

Not to mention, why are peaceful demonstrations not even allowed? Such demonstrations are allowed even under the Islamic Fascist constitution, so already all forces deployed to attack people demonstrating are already operating illegally.

Or are all these "rumors" as well?

Shame on you for standing with the rapers and murderers of your people.

Fair enough, Major

I owe you, and possibly others, an explanation about my self-imposed mission to find out the true 'Persian"ness or, Ïranianness of those who seem of foreign origin. I have taken on this somewhat silly task out of sheer curiosity, and have consequently been confronted with a lot of name calling and personal insult.

Rest assured that I have never had an ill will towards you or any one else whom I have subjected to this kind of inquiry. Needless to say, our political differences stand.

Major Pirooz; can I humbly ask you to write something in Farsi, Persian or, whatever you call it. Not in finglish or, penglish as they call it. You can do that by writing a simple response to my complimentary title to you.

Hi Ali

by Sargord Pirouz on

There was a great deal of false rumor and misinformation (especially on Twitter) over the Ashura unrest.

Police officers were not issued rifles. So how could they refuse orders to shoot? Look at all the videos of policemen being attacked by violent protesters- they have no firearms with which to protect themselves!

Now there are a few pics that possibly depict security forces with hand guns, but these are Basij, and in these photos they are seen brandishing, not shooting.

We're off topic here. Suffice to say, I think the "disobeying orders to shoot" is just another false rumor. The fact that nowhere in these police intercepts are there orders to shoot is indirect proof of that.

BTW: I believe these are NAJA intercepts, not Basij as described on the front page.

Major are you kidding???

surprised the Military was not activated...???

Or are you IGNORING THE FACT that there were officers WHO REFUSED TO ACT ON ORDERS that were IMMORAL!!!!

Sargord Pirouz

I disagree JJ

by Sargord Pirouz on

This is a construction of radio intercepts. For the level of violence and destruction taking place, these police radio intercepts sound quite professional. By comparison, the early radio intercepts from the Rodney King riots and even the besieged New Orleans Police the night after the Katrina flooding sound emotional.

It's surprising the military wasn't activated. However, the fact that it wasn't, and the unrest played itself out the way it did, actually worked in favor of the authorities. The authorities made the right call by not mobilizing the IRGC. Obviously the authority in power exercised the correct level of nerve and restraint. It worked this time.

And judging by this week's pro-government demonstrations, there is a popular level of backlash to the protesters' radicalization and extreme civil disorder.

BTW: I'm pretty sure the green cap on the captive anti-riot officer is photoshopped.

Benyamin

Dseperate or not....

by Benyamin on

The situation in Iran is getting out of hand, from one side we have Iranian TALEBAN(hezbollah) which has demostrated that it wont shy from shoot to kill defenceless youths and from the other side Majority of oppostion wont back off. It seems Iran is heading staright to hell!!! The islamists wont show mersi because in their mind they are killing for god and opposition cant take it anymore I believe Khameneie has proved that he is a numbnuts and he wont be able to keep an even keel and as Mousavi said in his last statement there may be a civil war. I believe the real power is in the hands of people and Basij and Sepaah will be crushed much faster and harsher  by the people. Basij and Sepaah wont even get a chance to show their power if it comes to more confrontation between people and the Islamists forces. Sepaah and Basij have played their chess game very wrong by under estimating the power of the opposition.

by benross on

Although I agree that the regime is politically desperate, but I caution reading too much in police radio communications. They don't sound desperate. They sound busy. We shouldn't undermine the balance of physical power which is still heavily on IRI side.

In police state of mind, the task the regime is asking them is to control the situation not to remove it. The sinister will be when they are ordered to 'remove' the problem, so that when they go to one hot spot to deal with the situation, they don't have to go back to that spot when the job is finished.

IRI is capable of that. Not necessarily with the same police force. But IRI is capable of any atrocity and ready to provide necessary personnel for it.

Lack of Coordination?

by Cost-of-Progress on

They don't sound very coordinated or seem to have a plan to face the people - their own countrymen and women......Worried about Kalantary...I love it. Perhaps the guy is worried that the people might get their hands on...WEAPONS....if they take over a station.....

You can hear it in their voice, you can tell from the number of "problems" in various corners of Tehran, you can tell from their admission of lack of forces to deal with protesters... they are so desperate.
