Bavafa

A very respectful family

by Bavafa on

They lived two doors from our house in Arak when I was growing up, although I never met her, but her sister/parents were one of the nicest family in the neighborhood and one of the most respected ones

So many Promising Careers Cut Short ... Wonderful Portrait

by Darius Kadivar on

Thanks Gormeh Sabzi Jaan what a wonderful post.

Loved the Photos with Foreign Actors and personalities. Just noticed a few names of two French Stars at the Prime of their Career:

Alain Delon of Course ( loved his pose as usual surrounded by beautiful Iranian actress' and knowing how good he looks ... LOL ... Typical Alain)

Jean Claude Brialy ( also a French Star, he is the one to whom Poory serves the Tea behind the Samavar)

I think I noticed Jack Lemon too.

Also interesting to see that as always Our Shahbanou played such a pivitol Role for the Freedom of Expression in the Arts as in allowing Geysar to be screened despite the Shah's wish to censor it because of the "Tchagoo Keshy" aspect ...

Great Portrait. Brought Tears to my eyes ...

All the best to MADAME Banaie ... a True Khanoum ...

Majid

BAANOO!

by Majid on

All you need is one word to describe her, BAANOO!

Kooshan

I'm in love with this type of Irani character;

by Kooshan on

Full of substance, precious, self-reliant and proud of who she is and her identity!

Iranians are decent human beings in social stage when we take the politics out. Politics corrupts us and for some reason we have that special urge to get into it!

Way to go Banoo Banaie!!!!!!!!!

Souri

The most beautiful actress, a veritable Persian banoo

by Souri on

I knew Pouri and her family very well. The sweetest people I've ever known.
Pouri was so beautiful, so humble and so generous. She is (and always been) a great soul. I just love her.

God bless her and her nice family.
