Public Record of Pahlavi's Wealth

Does anyone know of any genuine public record by Mohammad Reza Pahlavi or any of his family members on their wealth? Not by outsiders which could be unreliable.

with all his issues, he was  TRUE PATRIOT......

iran had peace, security, and prosperity......

now, look at what the vile mullahs have brought to iran:

an extended war which destroyed pretty much all of khuzestan and all our oil refining infrastructure and killed millions of brave young iranians.

world wide humiliation of iran, its name, its culture, etc.

31 years of brutal oppression, rape, outright theft of our natural resources, and the destruction of our heritage and culture.

there were many issues during the shah's reign, but he loved iran and wanted it to be a respected superpower.....he made mistakes in getting there.....but had they left us alone, iran would for sure be a democracy by now.

alas, with all the morons and pseudo-antellectuals in the 1970s, what can u expect.....noushe joonetoon

Dear Banoo Farah Rusta I

by Babak K. on

Dear Banoo Farah Rusta

I respectfully disagree with you on this.  It is true that Ali Amini was very close to libral politicians like JFK and his brother, late Bob Kenedy, but calling him a stooge is some what uncalled for. Prior to Iranian revolution, If Iran has taken steps toward free elections and there was just a little freedom of press and if there were a couple of Iranian comedians who were making living by making fun of Shah and his family, Khomeini and company had almost no chance to come to power.  Khomeini was a weed grown in the landfield of Pahlavi monarchy.  In democratic and free societies, trash like Khomeini easily can be exposed and washed away and can be forgotten readily, it is the estebdad that produces ligitimacy for murderers like Khomeini.  Dear Farah, I storngly recommend that you read about history of India and see how leaders like Nehru had implemented such a powerful democracy in the Indian subcontinent, while India had millions of iletrate masses, swamped by deseases, with too many ethenicities, too many languages, and too many religions, not to mention threatened extrem poverty, and by communist movement in China and Mao and USSR.  Indian leaders like Nehru, depite all the diffucties they were facing could not abandon democracy, and rule of law.  India despite all the imense problems it had,  stuck to democracy and human rights and respect for human dignity and now look where they are in  the world stage. Making bridges, roads, sending a dozen of students abroad to study, and taking the few women's scarfs or chadour away could not build a future for our beloved Iran, but democracy could.  Democracy in Iran could build a lot more than any estebdad could.

Didn't you know Babak that Ali Amini was officially and openly known as an American stooge in Iran. Had he been brought back, Khomeini would have arrived in Tehran six months earlier and on board a Pan Am instead of Air France.

while many countries evolve from a single-party political system to a multiple-party one, some would like you to believe that transformation of a multiple-party system to a single-party is a better one.

but i ask you: what's wrong with a one-party political system?  it is much simpler.  hezb faghat hezb .... [fill in your favorite party]  and if you don't like it... well, tough... in fact, you may find it easier to draw a cartoon of mohammad for a devout moslem than insulting the leader of a one-party system in front of his follower.

It is impossible to unite around any goal untill we obtain, have in our "collective"possession,  a CRITICAL understanding of the past and the mistakes people in power have committed in Iran.

I'll try to make this as brief as possible.

Sir, you claim that shah was trying to save us from all these ungodly sects and ideologies ( with a very unpleasant, rather insulting choice of words), yet you singularly forget to remember shah's ONE PARTY SYSTEM, HEZBE RASTAKHIZ. This party more than anything else resembeled, and in fact was the epitome all those sects, and ungodly ideologies you mention. There any many, many other instances that I could write, but I'm sure both of us have more important things to do. I'll just leave you with some Naser Khosro, hope you like what he says:

Answers and Questions (instead of Q and A)

by Farah Rusta on

In true Iranian style of doing things a number of already-answered-questions are posed as questions and the so-called enquirer expects to have an answer!!!

You see Hoshnag Khan, you are not really asking anyone a question here. You are saying: I know all the answers and I want to tell you what they are in the guise of a few flawed questions.

Can't you see that your presumptions (hand in glove with Hojatieh, Stalinist, Fascist party idea, and Albright "apology") are all telling more about your rigid preformed opinion on all these issues than about an enquiring mind?

Nonetheless, I am not going to disappoint you and will address all the issues you have raised but not as questions.

Single-party democracy, while not a widespread system, has had a number of successful applications including Mexico's RPI and India's INC parties. Therefore Rastakhiz party was not in principle an anti-democratic entity but it did not get enough time to be tried and tested.

Savak was created to serve and protect the constitution of Iran the same way the CIA/FBI, MI5/MI6, KGB and Mossad were created. There is no question that during its time in power, there were many breaches of human rights which should be condemned but let us not forget that its opponents were not exactly flower wielding hippies shouting make love, not war.

Albright, never apologized for American involvement in the failed Anglo-American coup against Mossadegh. She simply acknowledged the involvement in a small gathering of Iranians in California. She was not speaking on behalf of the American administration but her personal view.

Now ask yourself why Albright never acknowledged  American involvement in Chile? Perhaps she liked Iranian caviare better than Chilean wine.

IT IS NOT EASY TO FORGIVE OURSELF.

by afshinazad on

PERMOTE UNITY OF ALL OPPESITION GROUPS.

When Iranian could understood and could digest the reality of the freedom, might there is a hope to understand where SHAH was leading the nation.

Shah never explained what is threatening the nation and what is country facing and never tried to publicized the cold war and never tried to inform the nation what is the threat to national interest like western countries which every single hour creating a fear on threat to their freedom and national interest and these were his mistake and he should have explained to some morons that he is trying to save your sorry asses from communism and Marxist Islamist and fascist Islamism who are trying to rape your daughter and son  and imprison them because they are partying and the way they are dressing and etc.

Most of Iranian not only in Iran and but also in western countries do not understand and digest the politics and it is not easy for some to understand the western politics and neither do I.Some would blame shah and his father and his son and their Doug and grand kids for everything happened and happing now and in future as well, What a pity, when you are (dozd) thief, you think everyone is dozd (thief). He was no angle and at least he was not stopping you from advancement. What he has built and done to our country, no one is willing to mention it and still we are using his accomplishments today and compare it with the 31 year of Akhond kingdom. Treason and betrayal of Iranian people are not forgivable and god bless that great mans sole and his father’s sole , which these two men were last of true Iranian and true nationalist and nationalism died with them and we do not deserve such a people. STOP BALMING, ADVOCATE FOR UNITY.START MAKING DIFFRENECES.

Dear Hooshang...

I leave it to our monarchist compatriots to answer your questions. But on the subject of your 3rd question, I was also kind of surprised with DK's answer and his derogatory language regarding Dr. Albright, one of the most informed secretary of states that US has ever had. I wouldn't have been surprised as much if the insult had come from the other monarchist who God only knows what she wants...

I hope he does not subscribe to historical revisionism since he has refuted dictatorship during the Shah's rein and sees himself as a constitutional monarchist rather than an absolute monarchist.

Three simple questiosns from our enthused Monarchist compatriots

by Hoshang Targol on

Was Shah's idea and implementation of HEZBE RASTAKHIZ,  (a single party system, with mandatory memberaship for all citizens of Iran, remember?), a Stalinist, Fascist or a Monarchist idea, and how did it help to cultivate democracy in Iran?

Was SAVAK's hand-in-glove cooperation with HOJATIEH against Bahai's, Nationalists, Lefties,..also a policy to  promote democracy in Iran?

Why is it when a US's Secreatary of State ( Ms. Madelaine Albright) issues an apology to the Iranian nation regrading Aug, 53 Coup, she gets insulted, and reduced to a jack ass by our most erudite observerors? ( A truly lumpen expression, unbecoming an otherwise well informed individual).

Could it be that after 57 years some American officials have a better idea of what a continuing disaster that coup has been, than some of our "own?" cheers

Iran's illness and problems

by Babak K. on

Iran's illness and problems were and are all due to the estebdad, and only cure is democracy.  Pahlavi dynesty killed the new born Iranian demcracy and that is where their ligitimacy ends for me.  Democracy is something that can not be postphoned or dismissed with no logic and excuses of the past and present supporters of estebdad .  I know that the supporters of the past estebdad come up with tens of excuses to justify the Pahlavi dictatorship, yet can not find one reason to appologize for the past estebdad.  All the excuses the the supporters of the previous estebdad present in order to justify the Pahlavi suppression of freedom and thought in Iran, have been discusses and rejected by the great leaders of India like Lael Javaher Nehro.  Nehro says  that there were thousands of excuses by the opponents of democracy in India that India should take different path in order to acheive its objectives, but we explained to them that the future of strong and reliable India depends on democracy.  Nehro says that we Indians were facing millions of problems, and some people were looking for quick fixes.  Nehro continues: we argued that with democracy we can bring all the goods of the quick fixes  and more.  India  had millions of problems and leaders like Nehro, but countries like Iran and Turkey had a lot fewer problems with Dictators like Reza Shah and Ataturk.  Look where India is today and where Iran and Turkey are now.  India due to democracy and leaders like Nehro becomimg stronger and stronger by day, but look at Iran and Turkey.  Our problems could not be solved by building bridges and tall buildings and sending students to study abroad, but it could have been solved by demcracy.  A democracy can do all the goods any dictatorship can bring, and more, deocracy can institutionalizes the Sharaf and Vojdan, and they can be follewed by the prosperity and good life.

Has the boss gone Fooladi?

by Farah Rusta on

Look we don't want you to lose your job over your misunderstanding of the British constitution - that will be a double disaster :)

Your comparison with Britain in the context of devolution is meaningless because the case of Persia (Iran) is inclusive of most if not all of the ethnicities you have listed, something that is completely different between for instance, the Scots (Celtic) and the English (Anglo-Saxon) ethnicities and language. In the case of Iran the languages have mostly the same roots and ethnically they were first Iranian and then came their individual tribal roots.

Evolution in Scotland is something fairly recent (since 1978) and under the Pahlavis there were plans in place to introduce teaching of local languages to such ethnic provinces but I guess you are too young to remember.

Even in your favorite Soveitic system the formal language was Russian and Azeri boys and girls brought up under that system preferred to converse in Russian than in their ethnic tongue.

In the cool of the evening
When everything is getting kind of groovy
You call me up and ask me
Would I like to go with you and see a movie?
First I say no, I’ve got some plans for tonight
And then I stop and say all right
Love is kind of crazy with a spooky little boy
like you

You always keep me guessing
I never seem to know what you are thinking
And if a girl looks at you
It’s for sure your little eye will be a-winking
I get confused, I never know where I stand
And then you smile and hold my hand
Love is kind of crazy with a spooky little boy
like you
Spooky

If you decide some day to stop this little game
that you are a-playing
I’m gonna tell you all the things my heart’s been
a-dying to be saying
Just like a ghost you’ve been a-haunting my
dreams
But now I know you’re not what you seem
Love is kind of crazy with a spooky little boy
like you
Spooky

Ahh, ahh, spooky, mmm, spooky, ahh, ahh, ahh,
spooky, ooh, spooky
Ahh, aah, aah, spooky

DK: I am not surprised by your question

by fooladi on

Even the existance of different nationalities in Iran has been denied by both pahlavis and Islamist regime. To name a few of these nationalities: Turks, Arabs, Kurds, Fars. Any of these nations who demanded the right to their own language, culture, religion have been labled as separatists. The result is what you see at Kurdistan, Baloochistan, and looks like now Azarbaijan...

BTW there are many nations in constitutional monarchy of Britain: Welsh, Scot, English. They have their own parliament, languages., yet united under the banner of United Kingdom.

Where all Iranian nations can live side by side, united under the single flag of the democratic Iran free of any despot and islamist shia superstition and barbarism. Where Iranian nations can govern themselves internaly based on their national, religious and cultural norms. Only then we will have our Iran back. Only then we can start building a strong, prosperous, happy Iran with her  territorial integrity guaranteed, in place of this nightmare of islamist khalifat of Iran we have now, ready to fall apart at any moment.

I am living and working for that day.

Poor shah, he left Iran penniless.

At least he learned his lesson. He didn't make the same mistake next time around when he fled the country! His horde of "hezaar dozdaan" are using the money even today after 31 years.

And I guess this time around he did not get the call from the state department...

B.T.W. Wasn't it the secretary of state of US who actually apologized to the Iranian people for the 1953 coup or was it all a dream that me and my fellow "defunct Jebeh Melli sympathizers" had last night?
