The one who stole a raincoat from a store in New York was the Iraninan Ambassador to the United Nations (I fogot his name).  I believe Velayati was the Foreign Minister at the time.

All I know he is one of those fanatics that was with Khomeini when he came to Iran in late 1970. He is an MD, which indicates education alone does not make a person to be open minded with respect to religion and other things in life.
