AFP: A French court on Tuesday released Iranian agent Ali Vakili Rad, just days after a young French academic accused of spying in Tehran was allowed to return home. Vakili Rad had completed a life sentence for murdering the shah's last prime minister, Shapour Bakhtiar, at his home outside Paris in August 1991 and became eligible for parole last year. A Paris sentencing court ruled in favour of granting parole for Vakili Rad, the Paris prosecutor's office said, a day after the interior minister signed a deportation order for the Iranian national. His lawyer Sorin Margulis insisted the decision was not part of a deal agreed with Tehran to secure the release of 24-year-old Clotilde Reiss, who was tried in Tehran on charges of acting against national security.>>>

by Darveesh on Wed May 19, 2010 03:45 PM PDTThen why can't we say the same thing about Iran?
Besides, French been sucking on the world for centuries, they could not even stand up and fight in WWII. Not that this killer deserves any amnesty but please lets face the cowardice and yellow belly nature of French.
French have nothing to offer to the world, except what they have stolen from others. Besides they need to bathe bit more often, they stink to high heavens with their once a month bathing habit.
Please stop blaming the French
by Mehrban on Wed May 19, 2010 03:43 PM PDTIt is their responsibility to protect their own citizens. We are to be blamed, we the Iranians for not being organized enough that a bunch of thugs can rule us for three decades and kill our best and shamelessly parade a murderer as a hero. We are the ones who should take the blame.
Another Example of a spineless French
by Worcester Mo on Wed May 19, 2010 03:30 PM PDTThis has nothing to do with Obama and all to do with spineless, gutless French. They have bowed twice to fascists and if it was not for the Americans they would have never been a France. Gutless, shameful Sarkozy.

Europe & US wish that every iranian secular scholar ( I mean the real ones like Shahpour Bakhtiar) who are a threat against Islamic regime be killed becasuse they want a religious regime that keeps the people in ignorance and keep the way clean for their plunderage.
in further confirmation of lack of any complicity by French
by oktaby on Wed May 19, 2010 10:15 AM PDTin releasing a murderer after only 18 years, Sarkozy said there is no connection between this and Clotide, and near simultaneous release of the two is coindence and a freak of nature.
Sarkozy's comments puts to eternal rest any suspicion that French foreign policy remains as sleezy and crooked as ever. He also confirmed his mother is not for sale as he winked to the reporters.
On related news, Brooklyn Bridge in on sale for $9.99 and can be relocated to any crossing or even dry land after purchase.
