We do
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Sun Nov 28, 2010 03:46 PM PSThave a TV and use it all the time. But for the right purpose. We do not use it for "news". Nor do we watch the idiotic programming on American commercial TV. However PBS has fine programming for kids and adults alike. Plus great dvds both Persian and English as well as streaming media.
TV is a device and may be used or abused based on its programs. Therefore it boils down to: TV is not the problem; it is the programming that suck. TV is just
We don't have a TV either.
by Sargord Pirouz on Sun Nov 28, 2010 10:05 AM PSTWe don't have a TV either.
"Does TV still matter?"
by Bavafa on Sun Nov 28, 2010 09:57 AM PSTNot in my household, at least for the last 5-6 years. It is unplugged and have not missed it for a moment.

fussygorilla, right
by Rea on Sun Nov 28, 2010 08:04 AM PSTWho is C. Amanpour? Or S. Ebadi for that matter?
None would ever have heard of them had it not been for IRI Zionist propaganda.
But we've heard of you. Gorillas in the mist, lol.
Amanpour, an Iranian?
by fussygorilla on Sun Nov 28, 2010 07:39 AM PSTGood riddance and I hope we never hear from her again. She is NO Iranian except having a father who used to be from Iran. She has been the most anti-Iran propagandist, trying hard to dish out dirt and offer distorted picture of life in Iran. She has served her masters (Zionists) well and that is why she has been promote and funded well.
Iran should neve allow her into the country.
Isn't this old news?
by Anonymous Observer on Sun Nov 28, 2010 07:25 AM PSTShe's been gone for a while now.
GOOD BYE

The Incicent
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Sun Nov 28, 2010 05:59 AM PSTComrade: The reason the incident was not investigated is not our "nukes". It is that USA does not make embarassing investigations. I am sure Fox would have come up with some diversion. They simply would not cover an investigation as matter of policy.
How about Obama's birth certificate? Or his middle name!
Thanks to our nuke thing, no one remembers..
by comrade on Sun Nov 28, 2010 05:43 AM PSTFor a short while she was actively voicing her support for an independent inquiry into this incident.
Never increase, beyond what is necessary, the number of entities required to explain anything.
She's got the balls
by Rea on Sun Nov 28, 2010 05:19 AM PSTIn the midst of the Balkans' wars, she had the balls to stand up for what she believed was right. Accused left and right for being biased, she continued nevertheless. Not as much can be said about many men.
She's not just Iranian_British_ American. She is the Woman. Respect !
Responses
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Sun Nov 28, 2010 05:04 AM PSTMehrdad & Manam_Babak: I share your good wishes for Ammanpour.
Sean: If CNN wants to be REAL news then they need people like Amanpour. They also need to get as far from Fox model as possible. Fox is not a news station. It is an extension of the Republican right and nothing but "ra ra" flag waving to appeal to idiots who do not see through their shameless cynical ploy. People like that 80 year old nut job who got arrested for threatening Obama. In other words Fox is the mouth peace of American Taliban.
Comrade: TV matters but less than it once did. I hope to witness burial of "TV" news. American TV journalism died when Fox got invented. It has been rotting since and filling the air with flies (no offense to Kharmagas meant). It is time to bury it.
Hell of a Woman
by Rea on Sun Nov 28, 2010 04:43 AM PSTMore power to her !
Where were we when Hellen Thomas was fired?

CNN has been losing
by Raoul1955 on Sun Nov 28, 2010 04:15 AM PSTViewers due to having people like her on. They need to bring in patriotic reporters in order to compete with Fox. She seemed so pro-Muslim; Perhaps she will find a nice job at one of those Islamic stations.
Good riddance. She became
by Sargord Pirouz on Sun Nov 28, 2010 12:11 AM PSTGood riddance. She became too biased against Iran in her later years. In fact, she became anti-Iran.
She should have quit when Nasr was fired. Anyway, after that I no longer watch or read CNN except in the rare instance of sourcing, which has only happened once since then..
As to Bavafa I too wish her best of luck.
by Manam_Babak on Sat Nov 27, 2010 10:37 PM PSTI must add if deep down inside she is a human, she can now use her talent, and fame to report the real news from Iran to the rest of the world.
I wish her the best of luck with best wishes
by Bavafa on Sat Nov 27, 2010 09:33 PM PSTI sure hope she will join an organization that is much more worthy of her talent and also in pursuit of real news rather then this entertainment channel we call news organization.
