WHY NOT? WHY YES?
by afshinazad on Fri Nov 05, 2010 02:06 PM PDTNOT ; because people are not going to revolt against the regime.
YES; because we are not man enough to clean up our own BS.
Hoshang Targol you are right, (with few exceptions)
by IranFirst on Fri Nov 05, 2010 02:15 PM PDTYou are right, most leftists (Iranian and international) oppose the war AND support IRI. The one exception I can think of is Noam Chomsky, who bravely supported Iran people's uprising last year (despite displeasure of many on left)
Bavafa ?? Bavafa in what?? inventing word for my post?
by IranFirst on Fri Nov 05, 2010 01:41 PM PDTI do NOT want Iran to be bombed and made to be another Iraq or Afghanistan., EITHER.
At the moment, IRI is the main element hoping to bring this "limited war (in their small brains) to Iran. This is evident by IRI's actions and words.
people like Ms. Saba and many more Leftist IRI-Appologists never confront Terrorist IRI in their call for peace. They think IRI is fighting the "imperialists" , so it should be good enough for Iranians (no matter if Iranians want them or how many Iranians are killed)
I.F.are there any Lefties you know of, that oppose both
by Hoshang Targol on Fri Nov 05, 2010 12:57 PM PDTIR and outside intervention & war at the same time?
You are very correct on one point, which seems almost everyone forgets: if mullahs feel their regime is truly on its last leg, they always have the option of igniting a war to throw everything and everybody off, just for them to stay in power, as they did in the last 4 years of Iran-Iraq War.

Escape: when you're were checking out USLAW's site, did you also see their efforts on Iraq, Pakistan, Iran, Palestine...? And more importantly what is your solution for ending the violence in Afghanisatn? Bombing the hell out of it a little bit more? Looks like for the past 9 years such an "approach" has just led to making Talibans stronger than ever. Be as specific as possible please, cheers
Iran First ????? First in what, in bombing????
by Bavafa on Thu Nov 04, 2010 11:43 PM PDTIs that what you mean by Iran first?
I don't know any thing about this lady or the group, but I know I do NOT want my mother's land to be bombed and made to be another Iraq or Afghanistan.

CALL OBAMA AND ASK HIM TO TALK TO THE TALIBAN
How convincing.
Peace,let's talk to the Taliban..
I think these people should be deported to Afghanistan so they themselves can do the talking..
Obama might as well have a meeting with Al Qeada as well.
Believe me,these people are not stopping any war,what a joke.
I personally believe Iranian's have done a GREAT JOB bitching!
No to IRI, No to War
by Jahanshah Javid on Thu Nov 04, 2010 09:52 PM PDTThank you for taking a principled stand both against the Islamic Republic as well as foreign aggression.
Another Leftist Useful Idiot for IRI
by IranFirst on Thu Nov 04, 2010 09:21 PM PDTHere is her position last year about opposing terrorist IRI's "election"
"Those organizing the SWOI forum, on the other hand, argued that to participate
in those actions would give aid and comfort to the imperialist designs to
reverse Iran’s 1979 revolution and turn that country of 73 million people
back into a client state, as it was under the shah.
//www.workers.org/2009/world/iran_0806/
These Leftist left overs from an era long gone are willing to let Iranians suffer and die under Barbaric Islam and IRi, so they can fight THEIR socialist make believe war against"Imperialists".
In this they are similar to stateless Islamists, who have no love for any country and will betray anyone to spread their barbaric Islam
The thruth is Terrorist IRI is the one itching for a "small scale" war to get some support from Iranians and then rule for another 30 years. all this at the expense of Iranians
Sorry, forgot to add, both groups I mentioned below have also
by Hoshang Targol on Thu Nov 04, 2010 08:36 PM PDTconsistently helped and puplicized struggles of Iranian workers against IR, go to their web sites and you'll see. When was the last time "workers World" defended anyone in Iran against IR. All they have done for 30 years is to justify and defend mullahs crimes. Would you call that international solidarity, or waiting for some of that oil money in your bank account?
Why not work with other groups like
by Hoshang Targol on Thu Nov 04, 2010 08:29 PM PDTUS Labor Against War
//www.uslaboragainstwar.org/index.php
or
War Resisters League
//www.warresisters.org/
or tens of other genuine, peace groups that don't defend the crimes of IR? " Workers World Party" is the worst possible choice anyone can make, plain and simple. Nothing personal about it at all.
Thanks for speaking out
by Q on Thu Nov 04, 2010 08:14 PM PDTThere has been a war on Iran, from economic warfare to support of terrorists. Anyone who doesn't see this is of course blinded by hate and can't get over their own petty politics. I feel sorry for those people who have to denigrade this woman in order to feel like they matter in life. They don't matter at all.
When it comes to doing something for Iran, there are 2 choices:
1. Sit around and bitch (like most "opposition" have been doing for 30 years), and yell slogans and rip on others,
or
2. Do something that actually saves lives, regardless of your own personal politics.
It's totally understandable that most people choosing 1 would feel insecure and defensive and thus attack other people in order to give meaning to their own pathetic existence.
Simpleton or paid?
by shahabshahab on Thu Nov 04, 2010 08:01 PM PDTShe seems more like a simpleton. Stop war on Iran? Iranian government decared war on the world. People like her only make matters worse.
I'm 100% sure Ms. Saba has most honorable intentions, however
by Hoshang Targol on Thu Nov 04, 2010 06:10 PM PDTit would have really helped if she wouldn't associate with the totaly morally bankrupt apologist of mullahs in so called "Workers World Party", the group behind " Stop War on Iran. This is the same ultra-reactionary, idiotic outfit that repeatedly called Neda's assasinatin a plot by BBC and such;has called the entire " Greens" movement and everyone in it as agents and lackys of US: and since day one ( 1979) has justified and defended every crime of IR,... How about all those other truly independent peace organizations like: War Resisters League,...
