by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Sun Nov 14, 2010 07:02 AM PSTI have to disagree with you.
There are rules established by the IRI. People have voted for the IRI and IRI has made some rules. This is the big picture.
The rules are unjust and do not allow for freedom. People have NOT voted for IRI. Most of Iranians were not born when the "referendum" got done. In addition that was based on lies by Khomeini. That is why you need regular fair and free elections. If people think they are lied to or do not like the system; they get a chance to reform it.
How can you be saying this is people's choice? There is no ability for opposition to organize. Or campaign or even be allowed to be on the ballot! Plus:
These render Islamic Republic a total farce and its "votes" a joke played on our people.
You don't like what the IRI does? Then fight the mentality which is behind of it! I'm afraid by supporting this guy's action, we will follow the same trend.
How do you propose we do this? The mentality is that of thieves robbing a nation. The mentality will not change because it benefits the powerful. The only solution is to get rid of the powerful.
Do you think Hoshang or I could go and run for office there? If we are lucky we will simply not be allowed to get our names on the ballot. If not we will probably hang of a crane. Now come on, be fair. Islamic Republic is a dictatorship.

Is this propaganda too?
Souri Bano, not sure how you think I'm supporting this perv,
by Hoshang Targol on Tue Nov 09, 2010 08:09 PM PSTI'm just saying that IR, being the biggest and most organized promoter of vice and worse in the land is in no position to prosecute anyone, that's all.
What did you think of Mr. Asghar Ghatel's early encounters with Rafsanjani and Khamenie? cheers
Hooshang, sorry
by Souri on Wed Nov 10, 2010 10:29 AM PSTI find you offtrack this time!
I don't agree with this kind of reasoning.
There are rules established by the IRI. People have voted for the IRI and IRI has made some rules. This is the big picture.
Now, if those rules are not acceptable or not good enough, or anything else, we (the Iranian) have to fight them. This is called Politics.
We can't go through Anarchism, doing anything bad we want, just because we don't agree with those rules!
I am always against this kind of mix and match, in any debate. I always oppose myself to any rumor or propaganda of any kind, be it against the Shah or IRI or Toudeh, or anything else.
In order to progress, we as a nation, must first learn to think rationally and eliminate all games of propaganda and rumors and Above all, we MUST avoid acting upon those irrational subjects.
Your reasoning here is like the people in New Orleans stealing all kind of belongings, because there were floating on the water.
You don't like what the IRI does? Then fight the mentality which is behind of it! I'm afraid by supporting this guy's action, we will follow the same trend.
shameless leach regime

IR has been involved in sending Iranian boys & girls to Dubbai
by Hoshang Targol on Tue Nov 09, 2010 07:09 PM PSTmost sorry to tell you, not on an student exchange program! majority of the kids don't make it back. It has also increased prostitution astronomically in Iran in the past 30 years ( this one a true miracle of Islam)* On a daily basis it creats and violently maintains a most corrupt social setting, yet it feels the moral authority to prosecute pornography, and we support them. What's wrong with this picture?
On a different note, Mr. Asghar Ghatel seems to have had some rather early encounters with both Rafsanjani and Khamenie, at least according to Iraj Pezeshzad, RIP, in his historical tracts "Anternasional Bacheh Por Roha".
* When future histories of IR are written, how prostitution flourished within a theocracy to such unprecedented levels willl be only one of its paradoxes.
I daresay, something is sacred...
by comrade on Tue Nov 09, 2010 05:35 PM PSTBack then, when Asghar Ghãtel was nabbed and convicted, some people tried to politicize, philosophize, and even justify his criminal acts by shoving his motives into the realm of "class struggle", just because they saw an opportunity to accuse the Shah's regime of yet another political crime.
Now in my opinion, If this fellow is the real culprit, good for IRI. If he's innocent shame on me for my doubt.
Never increase, beyond what is necessary, the number of entities required to explain anything.

okay
by Souri on Tue Nov 09, 2010 12:53 PM PSTI understand better now.
But let's be fair:
When you apply for any country's passport, you implicitly sign a contract with the government of that country to abide the rules of that government.
You can not make porn sites in Canada, dancing at the Iranian-American TV, running an anti-IRI program at the Iranian satellite, writing anti-IRI articles and posting pictures in a foreign journal and then go to Iran with an Iranian passport, hoping that nothing will happen to you!
Same as Hossein Derakhshan should first read the last page of his Iranian passport "The holder of this passport is not entitled to travel to the occupied Palestine", before traveling to Israel.
Hey, use your logic please !
Sorry, stupid is what stupid does !
He allegedly showed Iranian women in sex acts.
by Anonymouse on Tue Nov 09, 2010 12:38 PM PSTAs I mentioned in my quote below from his wife, he wrote a "computer program" that allowed pictures and files to be uploaded which allowed his name to be part of the program. Like when you click in "Properties" in Microsoft Word and you see your name.
Now without his consent or knowledge some porn websites used his "program" and uploaded some sex scenes taken by cell phones during sex acts in Iran. As an example take a look at this blog by JJJ about a history of such websites:
//iranian.com/main/blog/jahanshah-javid/berimfaza-com
So when he went to Iran his name popped up as someone who is involved in Iranian porn which is illegal so they forced him to say these things. Like that guy who spent 2.5 years in prison for taking $200 and giving it to someone in Iran and Islamic Republic accused him of giving $200 to a monarchist group.
Everything is sacred
I'm really confused....
by Souri on Tue Nov 09, 2010 12:25 PM PSTThis guy, finally did he make porn site or not?!!!
If he did, I think he should be jailed in Canada, not in Iran.
But, let's say the Iranian authorities have jailed him unjustly. Then why people say: They forced him to give false confession?
Why would the Iranian government do that? Was Saeed Malekpour a political activist against the IRI?
I don't understand why everybody jump on the IRI and launch free accusation, then they don't give any proof to support their idea?
If you think that all this is made up by the regime just for jailing and eventually executing the guy, at least give us some "eventual" reason for that? Why would the IRI do that to him? Why him?
I personally know many people who went back to Iran for visit the family or else, and they only have had just a good time and they came back to Canada safe and sound.
So...........what's the catch?
Does anybody know anything that we don't know?
Translation please!
The explanation for the "porn" stuff.
by Anonymouse on Tue Nov 09, 2010 12:16 PM PSTThis is from the link JJJ provided:
//peoplewithoutnation.wordpress.com/2010/11/05/man-could-face-death-sentence-in-iran/
Ms Eftekhari and her husband are permanent residents of Canada, but do not have citizenship, she said. The couple arrived in Canada several years ago.
While working as a computer programer, Mr. Malekpour designed a program that would allow clients to upload photographs and data files and attached his name to the program before sending it out, she said.
“He always loved computers and was pretty good at that,” she said.
Unbeknownst to her husband, the program appears to have been used as part of an adult content website, she said. When Mr. Malekpour visited Iran in 2008 to visit his ill father, he was arrested, accused of running the website and convicted, she said.
“We were so shocked,” she said.
If he had known the program would be used for adult content, he would not have put his name on it or visited Iran, she said, adding she does not believe the allegations against her husband.
Everything is sacred

In October, 2008, Saeed Malekpour’s new life in Canada looked as golden as the sunlight on the autumn foliage. With a degree in metallurgical engineering from a prestigious Iranian university he was happily settled in Ontario and about to enroll in a master’s program at University of Victoria. But a decision to visit his dying father in Tehran changed his life forever. Malekpour is in Iran’s feared Evin prison awaiting what the court has told him will be a death sentence. His cellmate, Hamid Ghassemi-Shall of Toronto, is already facing execution >>> more

Not make a petition for this man
by statira on Tue Nov 09, 2010 11:19 AM PSTEven in U.S this guy deserves to be in jail and is considered a danger to the society. Let's just make petition for good people not porn stars, perverts, child molesters and murderers. Let's not fall in the Islamic Rapist trap. This is what the Rapist gov of Iran tries to to do, to show the world that their enemies are these type of people.
Hope he didn't make porno

He asked for it!
by Raoul1955 on Tue Nov 09, 2010 09:31 AM PSTCouple of years ago when I heard that three hikers were arrested by Iranians, my response was "they asked for it and they got it." I haven't watched the video, but if he is a Canadian resident why would he risk going to visit Iran? Didn't Iranians kill a Canadian reporter couple of years ago? In my view anyone who 'visits' Iran or any arabo-islamic nation is taking risks that could result in imprisonment, and eventual death.
Personally, I have never visited, nor would visit any islamic country. Those who do, be it for tourism, visiting relatives and/or cyber friends, etc., are just risking their lives. Iranians are good at playing games with everyone, and getting our attention. Let's hope that they execute this dude very soon so that we don't have to hear about him again. :-) And hopefully no one else will 'visit' Iran or any other islamic nation.

by statira on Tue Nov 09, 2010 09:22 AM PSTIranians are the people with the least common sense and sense of ethic. Ye grouh een akhondayeh aghab moondeh va nekbato mesle khoda bozorg mikonand va ye grouh ham mesle een mardake heez fahsha ra toyeh internet tarvij mikonand. Even in western porn sites that are more experieced and free, they dont show sex with close relatives. What a shame.
This is False
by Maryam Nayeb Yazdi on Tue Nov 09, 2010 09:00 AM PSTThe Iranian regime forced Saeed to give false confessions so the regime would have a reason to give him the death sentence (because he would be an "enemy of God") or a longterm prison sentence...And you spread regime propaganda as if it is the truth, without any explanation? Feeling a sense of responsibility when posting to at least give the facts in a short explanation is a good thing.
1. Here are Saeed's real words in a letter he wrote from prison about the torture he endures: //persian2english.com/?p=8921
2. Interview with his wife: //persian2english.com/?p=10719
3. Variety of TAKE ACTION tools to stand in support with Saeed Malekpour and demand his release: //persian2english.com/?p=15785
JJ, don't watch it!
by Azarin Sadegh on Tue Nov 09, 2010 08:26 AM PSTSkip this one! I am sure watching this video will give you some nightmares (of going back to Iran and then...going on TV)...:-)
confused again!
by Kooshan on Mon Nov 08, 2010 11:28 PM PSTSo, is he a political activist? What did he do?
Did he design those sites to fight against regime?
Not sure if I understand why he was caught to begin with? Is he a case of mistaken identity?
Or, regime is just having fun with locking up innocent people?
Everything is politicized these days and innocence is lost and fairness is forgotten!
Blind Sights !!!!
by Demo on Mon Nov 08, 2010 09:16 PM PSTIf this guy’s real name is Saeed Malekpoor & he OK’d to be interviewed by IRI TV then the year is 2050 & Elvis Presley is still alive!!!!
PS: In the same way that the country had no homosexuals the spreading of porn movies around is a giant lie made up by Zionists!!! They invented the same stories in Venezuela to discredit Hugo Chavez!!!
Forced confessions
by Shifteh Ansari on Mon Nov 08, 2010 09:15 PM PSTThis man is a resident of Canada who went to visit his family in Iran.
