my comments are not about MKO
by Parthian on Sat Oct 23, 2010 04:31 PM PDTI am simply commenting about someone finding this video funny and entertaining. I am not making a judgement about MKO, and their actions in the last 30 years. I don't think you will find me in disagreement with you regarding the cult that is MKO, however, they are irrelevant. Furthermore, a bigger cult that has killed many many more iranians is in power today, and I don't think people like they hypocrite bavafa would attack their supporters on this site the way she is going after this lady who is on her death bed.
Why this video is funny:
by Azarin Sadegh on Sat Oct 23, 2010 04:32 PM PDTFirst of all, I am surprised that so many have truly believed that this production has been made right before the old lady’s actual death.
Second, even if we assume that it has been filmed right before her death, why would someone make such a cheap video of a beloved’s last moments…especially with such mediocre quality?
Please think for a moment! Imagine your beloved great aunt is dying in the hospital. Would you rush to the hospital with your cameraman to interview her who would probably have other kind of problems and concerns (not really thinking about the good angle of her face, or the clarity of her speech, or repeating the same line over and over for the sake of having a good shot in the video)? Or would you take souvenir pictures with your aunt when she feels like dying?
Would you be such shameless character who wouldn’t give some peace to your sick great aunt in physical pain... so she can die with dignity?
That’s why I couldn’t take this video seriously! I cannot believe that anyone at her death bed would let someone else to manipulate her last moments on earth….So I'm certain that the old lady and the blue maid should be acting in some kind of marketing production!
But what I found funny was the poor acting and the poor scenario and terrible dialogues…especially the blue maid isn’t such a great actress and her acting really sucks and her voice sounds so funny in contradiction with the whole setting!
It is funny like an Eugene Ionesco play, or the Beckettien definition of funny!
I can clearly see the scene when the old lady is saying her last word, taking her last breath... and the cameraman shouts: “Cut! Let’s do it again! The light wasn't good enough!”
Sad & sobering!
by Disenchanted on Sat Oct 23, 2010 04:19 PM PDTI would liked to have asked her on her last night what did she think of Saddam and his crimes against Iranians. What did she think of Mojahedin betrayal of their people and homeland.
It's also a warning that niether Islam nor Hafez could save anyone from making terrible judgements. Every human being lost to ignorance is a tragedy. More so in case of Iranians.
why was Marzieh the only MKO female member w/o hejaab?
by MM on Sat Oct 23, 2010 04:03 PM PDTMKO could not force her?
MKO needed her to be w/ them more than their own convictions? e.g., name recognition / record & concert sales.
Or, was it that she never felt fully integrated w/ MKO?
We will never know! In any case, I hope Marzieh finally found her Jooliaan, since she sure didn't do so in this world.
Bavafa
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Sat Oct 23, 2010 04:02 PM PDTis right on this. This was a major hlunder. It does affect her reputation.
I may rant for hours about this. MKO is rotten to the core without any redemption. Marxism is bad enough by itself now cross it with treason and you get MKO. How could any Iranian join this lot goes beyond me. I don't get it and hope I never do.
Parthian: Legendary or not this is an inexcusable act to support this garbage.
Why do we have to go from one sh** to another. What is wrong with our nation.

by Bahram Gohari on Sat Oct 23, 2010 03:54 PM PDTShe was a good singer and a good traitor, that is all I can say about her.
MKO, the cancer that affected so many Iranian youth
by Bavafa on Sat Oct 23, 2010 03:40 PM PDTMarzieh was loved by so many Iranians as a singer but her decision to join and support a traitor cult that proved over and over to be based on dictatorship, extremist ideology and a traitor as its core value has surely effected her reputation.
She will be remembered as a great singer with a very poor judgment in opposing IRI.

by reader1 on Sat Oct 23, 2010 03:25 PM PDT... it provokes a deep, dark cutting sadness in me.
Not a fan of MKO myself but Marzieh's support for MKO did not dent her reputation and standing among her fans.
Parthian, Roozbeh & Parviz
by Maryam Hojjat on Sat Oct 23, 2010 03:22 PM PDTYou all said well. Marzieh was a legend. May she rests in peace.

by Demo on Sat Oct 23, 2010 03:10 PM PDTThe lady with the scarf looks like a young lady, does not show her face and her voice is not of Maryam Rajavi. Regardless of those, the actings are very much "fake" & such make them "funny." It is also quite absurd for two so-called Muslims women behave like they are playing a movie at one's deadbed. Another failed attempt by MKO to regain their lost credit.

Funny?
by PArviz on Sun Oct 24, 2010 06:12 AM PDTI just have to second Parthian's sentiments. Here is a legend and a pioneer on her deathbed, uttering perhaps her last words and some one finds this "very funny and entertaining".
I do not know you Azarin and I am not going to judge you based on this post alone. You might not like Marzieh for whatever reason but she was (and is) regarded by many as a unique artist and person.
You might not like MKO (which is quite understandable) but Marzieh decided to join them as a way of opposing this regime. Whether that was wise or not is beside the point. She could have lived a very comfortable life somewhere in the US or Europe giving concerts every now and then, but she joined an opposition group and tried to bring the plight of the Iranian people to the world through her concerts and comments. I give her credit for wanting to "do something" for the people she loved so much.
So next time before you send your comments , maybe it would be a good idea to read them twice and think whether they make a positive contribution.
Learning to tolerate what we do not like makes this world a much better place to live. We do not need to thrash or ridicule what we do not understand or accept. Marzieh had done no harm to you or anybody else because of her political views and actions. She was a rebel and a free soul.
May her god be with her.
Down with the ENTIRE Islamic Republic!
Azarin ... get real
by nitemustfall on Sat Oct 23, 2010 01:43 PM PDTI totally agree with Parthin and Roozbeh. There is absolutely nothing funny about this. Yes, Maryam is definitely doing this partially to her advantage. But she has done more for Marzieh than any other opposition groups.

I agree with Parthian.
by Roozbeh_Gilani on Sat Oct 23, 2010 01:32 PM PDT100%.
I also think that her affiliation with MKO was more a manifestation of her disgust with the islamist regime than her adherence to mko ideology.

regardless of what you think
by Parthian on Sat Oct 23, 2010 01:04 PM PDTWhatever your opinions are of Maryam Rajavi, and MKO, there is nothing funny or entertaining about this video. This is tragic, and a sad end to a life of an Iranian legend. Her influence on arts far outweighs her political blunders. She was a legendary singer, and an artist. May she rest in peace. Iran should honor her the way she deserves after the bloodsucking mullahs and their IC supporters are kicked out of Iran.
haha
by Azarin Sadegh on Sat Oct 23, 2010 11:53 AM PDTVery funny and entertaining! It inspired me for starting an absurd story!
I can imagine that the blue maid has killed the old lady at the end...but she needs more acting lessons...:-)
Thanks M. jan for sharing it here too!
