People should see what sick bastards are ruling Iran. Here's the whole picture. And another.

Never increase, beyond what is necessary, the number of entities required to explain anything.
dysfunctional system
by Fesenjoon on Sun Oct 31, 2010 02:34 PM PDTSee?
The regime HAS TO make a spectacle out of everything. Like a completely retarded and dysfunctional organization. Nobody has a clue where the sar and koon of the decision making are. U just wake up one morning, and bam, the regime has decided something for you.

speculating the reasons IMO
by Fesenjoon on Sun Oct 31, 2010 03:02 PM PDTIt's obvious.
Theyre trying to artificially pump up the rank of Tehran University in the global rankings. IUMS did have a significant research body.
One of the greatest aberoo-reezee of the nezaam in recent years has been that Iran doesnt even have one ranked school in the top 400 universities worldwide, while Saudi Arabis and Israel have multiple schools.
The tamarkoz zodaaee excuse is BS.
SBU lacked sufficient clinical resources for a school of its size and stature. Now they inherit the (24?) hospitals.
TUMS also gets a boost out of the merger, by inheriting all the research and academic infrastructure, AND, they will probably move their campus to the IUMS campus. They gain badly needed space and newer facilities.
But it's a lousy way to attain a global ranking. Rice and BCM tried merging last year (which wouldve created a superchool like Harvard). They actually ended up not merging, to protect their interests. But in Iran, it seems, propaganda for the nezaam takes priority, and the school's interests dont really matter, since all decisions are made from top to bottom (instead of the other way around, like in US schools).
